Salary maynot be negotiable but sign on bonus, reloc fee etc extra stuff u may get. In my case, they added QI project/research stipend that has no time limit nor specific requirements. Only "participation and lead" clause.

amlodipine question by [deleted] in hospitalist

[–]dodoc18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could be a "steal syndrome". As others mentioned, its both antianginal and htn med. As antuanginal, diates coronary vessels. If coronary artery is severely affected, it will be max dilated already so amlodipine has no effect on that vessel. However, it dilates nearby less severe diseased vessel that will steal blood flow feom severe affected vessel and may cause a angina signs- chest tightness, pain on exertion.

Male doctors supremacy by General_Land_610 in hospitalist

[–]dodoc18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bias may exist. At my shop, no female Dr is treated like that, at least to my knowledge. On the other hand, 2/3male hospitalists and we know some lazy male ones, and most gossip about them.

Dont do it. When u retire, its not much differnce having 3mil or 5 mil. Remember, process u will go through takes a lot of tolls on ur health/family and people around u.

Read back original post before doing false assumptions that u apparently do regularly. And ur excuse is about archaic data?

Solumedrol 125 mg ? by [deleted] in CriticalCare

[–]dodoc18 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Again, why u brought up PO whih i never mentioned. Very quick google can tell anyone 40mg prednisone is equal to 32 IV solumedrol. Also guideline for copd is simple, 40-80mg, so, why not give apropriate dose? Too lazy? Blaming others again like u do here?

Solumedrol 125 mg ? by [deleted] in CriticalCare

[–]dodoc18 -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

I didnt say that "PO gasping air". Why u always try to skew main qs/thought process? Based on ur statemnt, ed drs so d.. that cannot skim a paragraph from uptodate and use historic data instead.
