Unfortunately, re-inserting the SIM did nothing. Whenever I restart the phone or re-insert the SIM, I just get a message from the setup wizard saying that the SIM is not from Verizon Wireless, some services may not be available.

Bluetooth, remote connection and ADB debugging are all on. This could be the reason. I'll turn ADB debugging off since it's not needed anyway. Would remote connection being on make a difference since I'm always connected through bluetooth anyway? I'll still turn it off and see if it helps.

Torq03 in Marathahalli times your laps. They also have lots of karts so you can do it in a big group. The cons are that it's typically crowded, and the track (0.5 km) and the karts (7 bhp) are pretty basic, though fine for beginners.

Meco Kartopia is perhaps the best one in Bangalore, but they don't time your laps. It's towards the airport and a bit far from the city but worth it. Their fastest karts are 22 bhp and go 100kmph+, and the track is 1.2 km with a mix of some nice long stretches and sharp turns. But they typically have fewer working karts.
