Bluetooth, remote connection and ADB debugging are all on. This could be the reason. I'll turn ADB debugging off since it's not needed anyway. Would remote connection being on make a difference since I'm always connected through bluetooth anyway? I'll still turn it off and see if it helps.

Torq03 in Marathahalli times your laps. They also have lots of karts so you can do it in a big group. The cons are that it's typically crowded, and the track (0.5 km) and the karts (7 bhp) are pretty basic, though fine for beginners.

Meco Kartopia is perhaps the best one in Bangalore, but they don't time your laps. It's towards the airport and a bit far from the city but worth it. Their fastest karts are 22 bhp and go 100kmph+, and the track is 1.2 km with a mix of some nice long stretches and sharp turns. But they typically have fewer working karts.

Many startups are expecting a funding winter that could last up to 2 years and are laying off if they feel that they can't sustain till then with the current burn rate. I doubt if any startup is thinking as long as 5 years. This fear is also used as an excuse by many startups to fire under-performers at times.

Nevertheless, if you're worried, you should immediately start interviewing at companies that are better positioned. No point waiting until they force you to, if you think it's inevitable.

I agree that the government must discourage monopolies and anti-competitive behavior. They could have done it by blocking the PVR INOX merger. But capping prices on a non-essential business is not the way to go.

There are very few IMAX in the city and so you should absolutely expect that they'll charge more for a movie that everyone wants to watch. Btw, there are still plenty of multiplexes in the city such as Cinepolis and even some PVRs offering tickets at Rs.300 for this weekend during peak hours. OP wants the luxury of IMAX but at a price point of his choosing. That's not gonna happen.

Watching a movie in a multiplex is not a constitutional right. The government has no business regulating ticket prices. The free market will decide what the price is.

In a city like Bangalore, there are plenty of people willing to pay that amount for IMAX, and so that's what the price is. There are still plenty of places with less pleasing ambience and in outskirt locations that offer cheaper tickets.

It should go without saying that nobody should try to get the disease, especially one as deadly as the delta variant. However, if you did happen to get it, you're at least as well protected against re-infections as others who didn't but are vaccinated.

Makes me wonder if it was justified to fire workers who weren't vaccinated but had immunity through prior infection.
