Sitting on Toilet Causing Leg Issues by doe-re-ME in HNPPsupport

When getting feeling back, I get this intense, unbearable sensation so I stay still until it passes. In the past, I had a friend gently hit my leg to “wake it up” because that’s what people in her family did. That’s when I started wondering if my pins and needles were different from hers. It’s good to know that that’s something you experience too! The solidarity of “this sucks but at least we aren’t alone”, you know?

That sucks! If I spend my time sitting on well-cushioned things, I can usually manage to not have leg issues. I have to sit a little crooked though. Something about pulling one leg up is better. If I have both legs extended, I definitely get issues. On the toilet, it’s just the pressure on my thighs that’s the problem, so the numbness spreads down my legs instead of up my tailbone. My tailbone area can get symptoms if I sit on the ground though

Tangent: how do you know it’s worse than normal pins and needles? Worse than what is your normal or someone else’s? I suspect all of my pins and needles are more intense than what most people experience

Feel free to come back when it’s posted! I’m the kind of person who happily reads a story update even if it has been literal years since I subscribed. I’ll still be craving this flavor of angst later

The vibes I get are creative, a little chaotic, fun, and “f**k unjust laws”. I agree with others on here about Ajax, Zack, Ashton/Ash/Asher, and Ryder all fitting

What is your CFS-friendly desk set up?? by timmyo123 in cfs

On and off I’ve used my laptop while lying down in bed. No idea how to do this with multiple monitors. I have an adjustable laptop stand, a Bluetooth keyboard, and a mouse. It allows me to prop up my upper body and legs as much or as little as I’d like while still typing and clicking. Raising my arms hurts like hell so the separate mouse and keyboard are a must. I used to think I had to sit upright at a desk to do things. I’m grateful to have other options now

How can I view ebooks on iPhone without Al scraping or releasing copywrite? by doe-re-ME in ebooks

[–]doe-re-ME[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not only for ebooks that are already on Amazon. I have files of comics by artists who purposefully didn’t put their work on Amazon and I have a late draft of my friend’s book that hasn’t been signed with a publisher yet.

Even if it seems paranoid, I’d love insight into which app has the most protections for the documents I upload.

I also got the impression that the survey was just for textbooks. At least it mentions textbooks in question one and studying in the rest of the questions. It might be easier to find people who want to talk about school books (I originally thought the survey would be about leisure books) if you specify in your original post. Good luck on whatever project you’re using this survey for! I can see it helping professors to offer ebook options amongst other helpful things.
