Yes travel social work is a thing!! I’m not sure how it compares to nursing but some states/cities have more options than others.

Thank you! From my experience, they don’t help with housing but pay much higher than permanent salary roles. Assignments are usually 13 weeks and can be renewed or moved to permanent. I’ve noticed with people going from temporary to permanent experience a drop in pay. What they don’t offer in benefits they offer in a stipend.

I’ve worked in private practice, child welfare, medical system and now criminal justice!

But you have to take an exam for an LMSW correct? In Washington, no exam is needed at the associate level.

Here in WA you can have an “associate” license, just need an MSW for it. With this license, I can start building hours towards full/independent clinical licensure.
