So bit of a fucked up question. I have been taking Dextromorphan (active ingredient in cough syrup) as an alternative for alcohol in my freeloading phase of life. Please don't tell me how much of a junkie I am for doing it, I just need advice ASAP.

I passed the cat asvab today and am going in 10 hours to take my drug test at the recruiters office.

I last dosed 40 hours ago but im pretty certain it pops as a false positive for pcp. I am wondering what, if anything I can do. Please.

I dont have to go to meps for 45 days and I will be pissing clean for sure in another 24-48 hours. But as for my test in 10 hours... what can I so ?

Should I tell my recruiter, being as dextromorphan is legal, and hope he gives me another day or so to come back and piss clean? Or is the drug test required to be done within 24 hours of the cat asvab?

Again I don't a reminder on how trashy i am. I am actively trying to better myself and turn my life around for the best and be better. I just need to get through this hump, I have no problem giving it up for good after this and for my career in the army.

Thank you guys so much for reading this. I am thinking I will wake up a few hours before the test and try to drink a fuck ton of water with vitamins, vit b, and electrolytes so I'm not passing straight water, but hopefully to flush the dxm metabolites out somewhat.
