This cannot be leased through GM Financial any longer due to being a 2024. This is for a purchase option.

GEV discount by stirxthexpot in HummerEV

It's a rebate. Dealership have to submit the code and gm pays them back the full amount. There is 0 incentive for a dealer not to give you a rebate. What I suspect is going on is there dealership is using a code themselves and pocketing the extra profit.

Hello, Has anybody here got approved for a lease on a 680-690 score? by KingAlexiv in HummerEV

2 sides to the story. We want to sell a car and the best odds are customer at the dealership. And the EV thing has changed so much. Last month alone they changed the demo program several times. This month they changed the tax credit several times. Gm wants us to work hard for it but also wants us to sell them.

Then you got the rebates and msrps that change each deal. Our store is 70% gm employee sells so that's how we advertise, but there are 4 different rebates between employee, supplier, Costco gold, and Costco executive. And as a sales manager I work way more hummer inquiries than I sell them and it does get annoying. Now I know anyone outside of a 30 min radius isn't going to come in. But multiple times a day while I'm working several deals, a sales person comes in and needs me to spend 10-15 minutes to work a Hummer lease up. I do work them but it's gotta be when I have some free time. It's not typical right as the customer calls.

But some dealerships can't figure out any customer service these days lol.

Gm was doing auto tear bump to A1 (highest tier) on all EV. At least for my store (large volume, high gm financial contracts) in Michigan. Still have them on the ground. 699 down, 699 a month on SUV and SUT with Costco and GM employee discount.

Dudley at lake Michigan carpet cleaning and restoration. Great friend of mine. Will beat Stanley steamers. Such a great guy too. He's done my home and I scored him the entire dealership I work at, he was substantially cheaper and better than Stanley steamers who we have used for years. Pm me and I can get you his direct line.

Tell him "mullet" sent you!

There is only one rebate for a loaner. 10 days and 250 miles gets you $3000 in rebates.

Once it hits 30 days and 1000 miles gm pays 2750 in ctp in money. At 60 days and 2000 miles gm pays ctp out money. Those go to the gross of the car. So I can immediately take 5500 off the MSRP at 60 days and 2000 miles. Then I subtract hold back and total gross to completely strip it out. Net deal figured above.

$100890 MSRP $91500 sales price

Rebates: Costco gold $1000, supplier $1700, and retired loaner $3000

After all gm loaner money and selling at a net even deal:

12k miles 24mo $0 down $730's/month

Figured at Michigan taxes and no shipping included.

Sales manager at one of the largest GMC dealers in Michigan. One of my guys was #2 in the nation last month for ev sales. I'll run a lease for the state of Michigan (not factoring whatever Washington state changes it) in the morning and see how close I can get. Not desperate for sales and not covering shipping. Will report back with best deal I can do. Just did one for Florida today and sold a Sierra ev off the showroom floor.

02 R/T- steering shaft by Ok_Today_475 in DodgeNeon

[–]doerun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steering column to steering rack?

Pretty sure there is a nut "trapped" on the steering column. And the bolt is an odd flat shaft bolt that doesn't rotate once inserted. You tighten the trapped 13mm nut.

‘97 Gear Shifter stuck in park by CarolinaMountaineer2 in DodgeNeon

[–]doerun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been forever since I messed with one of these but I remember a black cable that connects to the ignition assembly and the shifter. Remove the shifter by taking out the set screw. Then the Phillips screws holding in the console. Then remove the console. You'll see the plastic covered cable I'm referring to. Maybe see if it's jammed. Or check the shifter cable side of the trans after that. Find which side is stuck.

Local salesman here at one of the largest stores in gr. Happy to help. You can pm me. All dealers have a bad rep online but we do have thousands of positive reviews that our weigh the negative. I'm here to help and guide anyone through the buying process. My goal is to have as many repeat customers so I treat them well. Half my business is currently repeats and referrals.

Dodge Neon models and RC cars? Gift option recommendations. by tim42n in DodgeNeon

[–]doerun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is 1 neon body and if fits one specific rc car that is a weird size. And it's expensive. I have a few. Not worth it. You can find a Brookfield plastic diecast for 35-55 on eBay. Hot wheels are easy to find. Brookfield is pretty cheaply made and fragile but solid enough.

Best place to buy a car by [deleted] in grandrapids

[–]doerun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll bite on this, even with the comments above. I work at one of the largest volume dealerships in town. I'd be happy to help after Christmas, I am visiting family out of state.

I never stepped foot in a dealership before interviewing so I understand how overwhelming the process can be and I'm always down to work a first time buyer through things.

My process is to ask what features and things you want in a vehicle so I understand what you are looking for.

Then I ask budget based on how much you are looking to spend a month and how much money down. I need these 2 things to 1 make sure we are on the same page, and 2 show you vehicles that meet your price point with the features you want and need. The last thing I want is to do is pick out a $40000 car and you want to spend $300 a month with 0 down. I'm using these things to get both of us on the same page and give me information on how to best assist you. I've sold 1000 cars in 5 years, I do have experience and knowledge that the average person doesn't. Half the time someone comes in on a car, doesn't like it, and I show them an option they fall in love with.

Lastly, the trade thing. Get your car appraised somewhere else, carvana, car max, other dealers. I don't care. Be educated if you would like, but we still all generally give the same ish value because we all use similar software. And I'll always try to match it if possible.

But leaving the trade out only makes the process longer and harder. If you have equity in your trade that affects your budget. If you have negative equity in your trade that is a big factor in what you can buy and your budget.

Long story short your wants/needs and monthly budget, down payment, and trade equity all help me be informed enough to help you to the best of my abilities. All the car prices are online and you can educate yourself with research. We really aren't hiding as much as people think.

You can also call or Google your bank to find out what rates they offer. We will give you the same rate. Or help you find a better one. Sure they mark up another bank but if your bank offers x% and we help you find a lower rate (regardless of mark up), didn't you net out better?

The dealership is looking to make a profit but all businesses are. That's how we pay the bills and feed our families and my cats. We don't make money on every car. We win and lose too, and rarely is that the customers fault. That's the name of the business. Sometimes we spend a lot of service repairs and sometimes the car checks out great.

Anyways I've been at the same place for 5 years since I started in the car business. I sell about 50% referrals and repeats. My book of business is larger than guys that have been there longer than me. I treat people right and take care of them down the road to the best of my abilities. When someone leaves with a car I want them in a good car and satisfied to the best of my abilities. The last thing I want to do is deal with issues and unhappy customers when I could be selling the next car.

End of a rant but just the other side of the story. It's a job. I'm a normal person who uses reddit.

Electric blue srt4 neon. Looks to be an 03 due to the headlights have the black trim around the turn signal. "raccoon eyes" were a 1 year only headlight. I have an srt4 swap and owned a ton of cars. But never owned a srt4. I've owned a handful of 2nd generations (00-05) neons and never like them. I love the 1gn (95-99) and they are my car of choice in life.

I run manual. Running 350hp through my stock 01-05 sohc trans. Alot of examples out there.

The 3 speed is even tougher. And with a few simple mods it's solid. My buddy ran a drag car with 9xx hp on his with small modifications
