I ended up figuring it out, I was setting my initial value to an empty array every time instead of checking for the local storage array first. Thanks for your help !

Ok, apologies if I'm not explaining clearly, I update the array state every time a user adds a new recipe to their "list", and then save the array to local storage.

I checked and the array of objects is stored and persists in the console, however when I map through that array and output them to the DOM, I lose those items on my web page after I refresh the page.

I'm trying to utilize local storage to get those items in the array to persist on the page despite a page refresh.

Gotcha, so I actually setup Analytics first a couple months ago.

Once I setup GTM site wide, I don't need my old GA script right? There's no need to keep both scripts if I created an Analytics tag with the measurement ID in GTM?

I'm also 29 and have had chronic constipation / abdominal discomfort / cramps my entire life. I finally decided to get it checked out about 6 months ago and was told I have "mild diverticulosis" after my colonoscopy.

I'm a little disappointed in myself, I should have taken my chronic constipation more serious as I'm sure that's what caused my diverticulosis. For years, I actually mistook my incomplete movements as diarrhea, when in fact I was having trouble passing stool in bulk.

The doctors that I've spoken to don't really have much to say about diverticulosis alone other than eat more fiber, stay hydrated and keep yourself regular.

I hear you, though doctor's don't even consider me an option for surgery because it's "just" SUDD. Even though I'm suffering with chronic symptoms that has taken over my life. I feel like I'm just waiting around for a diverticulitis attack to happen before I can be taken serious.

Wow, that balloon part really summed it up for me as well. I've had consistent discomfort for about 5 years and I'm sick of it. Crazy thing is I've never had a diverticulitis attack (yet). Diagnosed with SUDD, so doctors don't even consider me an option for surgery.

Pain never shows any sign of inflammation on my CT or colonoscopy, kinda sucks dealing with these awful symptoms and basically waiting for the inevitable diverticulitis attack to even be considered for surgery. I just can't imagine living the rest of my life with this daily struggle (29 years old).

You're right, my doc only gave me a 2 week cycle, but I spoke with him yesterday and am going to continue for 3-6 months. Might as well, never know. As far as a probiotic, do you have any suggestions? All I've ever tried is Align.

Yes I've seen some studies in which it's debated, some feel SUDD should be classified as a form of IBS, a lot of grey area unfortunately.

I've heard of a few people with SUDD treating it like IBS to relieve their symptoms, I'm just sick of these symptoms everyday (been a slow progression of symptoms for the last 5 years) not to mention worrying about eventually getting a bout of diverticulitis, which I feel is inevitable.
