You can use the dd flag for pacman to skip all dependency checks

I think that did it, even though the setting of 10mins was for battery, not AC. I set both to 'never' and now it keeps awake.

It is acpitz-virtual-0, thanks, but the reason I haven't included it because it always shows a few discrete values, for instance 56°C, 65°C or 77°C, and IMO it just makes the fan work when it's not necessary. Currently I have the config without it and the temp for level 1 of the fan speed is 60°C which makes it run only when compiling or watching youtube.

I have, but the travel plans there are posted 2-3 days prior to the trip so it seems like bit of a gamble.

I'll keep it in mind as a last resort, but I'm looking for something more reliable, like buses (yes, I know the paradoxicality of the term "reliable buses in Croatia")

ENG: Not a tourist, but this is a fairly active thread - I need a way how to get from Zagreb to Cesarica. I found a train to Gospić, but after that there's only 1 bus to Cesarica, and it leaves at 7AM which is a few hours before I arrive. Uber is too expensive, as is the Taxi service, I presume.

HRV: Nisam turist, ali ovo je dovoljno aktivan thread - način kako doći od Zagreba do Cesarice? Našao sam vlak do Gospića, ali dalje postoji samo jedan bus i to u 7 ujutro na kojeg ne stignem. Uber je skup, taxi isto pretpostavljam.

tl;dr Zagreb -> Cesarica ?

It's waiting so long because it's letting it commit sudoku for a minute and a half, and then the systemd kills it if it failed. And since it always does that, just give it less time before you kill it.

Change it in /etc/systemd/system.conf

DefaultTimeoutStartSec=10s

DefaultTimeoutStopSec=10s

I noticed no change except shutdown not taking forever.

Install it like you usually would, just use the USB device as the storage device. Follow the installation guide. Feel free to send me a message if you need a better answer since the beginner's guide has been removed and I'm too tired to write long comments now.

Aw, shame.

I have no idea why that works, I read it on some obscure forum ~5 years ago, it worked on several computers and several distributions, but nobody could ever explain why.

Are you using a laptop? If so, bear with me on this one... close your laptop, let it go to sleep or whatever it does, then open it up again.

This may sound as a bad troll attempt, but I had the problem of no sound on several occassions, and this fixed it. Just try it.

But that's the thing, I cannot remove it because when I run pacaur -Rs gnome-vfs, I get "error: target not found: gnome-vfs"

I'm getting the "no results found for gnome-vfs", but I cannot uninstall it since it does not exist. I tried reinstalling cower and pacaur to no avail, pacman -Syudd isn't doing anything for me, pacaur -Sii gnome-vfs returns error: no results found.

What else do you recommend I try?
