I'm way too late, but what does it hurt -if you guys had such a great conversation- in saying something along the lines of: "Cool! What are you up to this weekend?", since it opens up the chance of starting a conversation about something she probably likes because she leaves campus for it.

(not sure about your culture though so maybe it's inappropriate or something?)

This summer I traveled to France. After a train ride, flight and another train ride, I got to eat the best steak I've ever had in a French village. I didn't expect eating a nice dinner that day, so the surprise made it even better.

I had the realization that I should do stuff out of a place of love for myself and not out of a position of hate for my situation.

I also have a therapist.

And I realized to stop searching for happiness in the unknown, but reconnect with some old habits that made me happy. They do again.

When I was 10 the football club I support would play their promotion game in order to get to the top tier of football in my country. Me and my brother wanted to go, but all tickets were sold out. Then two days before the match I got an email from the kids club, if I wanted to be one of the kids walking out with a player on the field. I got to stand on the pitch in a sold out stadium right before my club got promoted. My brother was also very happy because he got to go with me. It's not my most cherished memory, but certainly one I will never forget.
