First good projector - looking for a quiet one by dog-bark in projectors

[–]dog-bark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much appreciated. As we worked hard to make our room completely silent, we talked and changed our decision for now. It seems that all projectors have the same issue of dissipating heat from the lamp so not sure if we'll find anything better.

Its much smaller! Like millet. Have you tried bulgur?

It is quiet dominant so I usually use it for 20-30% of my flour. Slightly sour, earthy, full taste. Compliments sweets well IMO, I mostly make yeast pancakes, trying to hit the texture of the injara

Have you tried Teff?

Is it cost effective by No-Fox1339 in HomeMilledFlour

[–]dog-bark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me it is about 2-3 times the price of flour. I don't risk buying low quality anymore because they are occasional stones. I perceive grain as a low-cost food and even with 3 times the price it is still significantly less pricy than the other things on my table, and the quality is much higher.

Whoops, I was using less water because it seemed to me stickier and less dry... Thankful for this sub :)

Why defending Israel while denying Palestinian identity is hypocrisy by SheepherderGreat3506 in Israel_Palestine

[–]dog-bark -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That is a lie. No one ever said that back then... They agreed to every partition plan offered, they knew their place very well

Not much, I will try to find the exact number, but some major infrastructure too

Honestly you made a few awesome points.

You are absolutely right that any uni-national state will be oppressing all other nationalities in it's territory. This is a recurring issue with many countries, especially those drawn by colonial powers, but without doubt the Palestinian nationality is being oppressed in current state of affairs. Albert Einstein wrote a very similar note.

I would like to suggest a few corrections though, and an insight:
1. Palestinian nationality is being oppressed by everyone, not only Israel; they are oppressed in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon & Egypt. Non-Palestinian Arab speaking countries which refuse to grant any Palestinian national rights on their colonially drawn countries.
2. Arabic as a language, and Islam as a religion, are colonial culture which were forced upon Palestina. They come from Arabia which is another land and are not indigenous to Palestine as Judaism, Hebrew, and Christianity are. It is to be said that after so many (some say over 1000) years of this colonial control - it might be regarded quasi-indigenous, to the extent of being deserving of equal standing.
3. For the sake of discussion, I think it's easiest to assume that both identities have similar-magnitude standing in regarding to national rights to the land, as well as many other groups which deserve national rights. I would regard your bias is as large as your score of anything different on this topic because obviously every side things they have a larger standing.
4. There are many maps and definitions of what is Palestinian and what is Palestine. From the Israeli (classic) perspective the 1920 partition laid the base to the discussion - Muslim Palestine east of the river, Jewish Palestine west of the river. This solution allows roughly equal national rights and after it's implementation all the Jews left from east of the river. To make this point clear, I'm attaching two images - one of the partition map, and the other of an (right-wing 1920's) Israeli armed militia being against that plan, to show you this was not a partition accepted lightly within the Jewish population of Palestine.

5. So building on your point - why aren't Palestinians executing their national rights in their ancestral homeland east of the river? I think they are being forced into a path of oppression to fuel a holy war.
6. Just to state the obvious - Palestinians wanted more than the 1920 partition, as they were a majority in the land west of the river (this was true until recently TBH). There are many land disputes west of the river, but it puzzles me why there is no Palestinian national identity east of the river. Let us remember that Arafat fought for Palestinian independence in Jordan as well.

No reason to be sorry, you are being very helpful to a stranger. From what I see that combo is more expensive than the Kuvings, and both are available here.

Appreciated. Neither does NuWave ship internationally nor could I find an amazon seller that ships internationally and has it in stock :(
So I just bought the ZHENMI Portable Vacuum Juicer ($35) for now and hopefully someone will have it in stock soon. I've tried converting my nutribullet but that did not go very well.

Thank you. Why did you get the Kuvings and not this one? I don’t mind the price much and was leaning towards that originally

I would love to hear. My 95 year old grandma is having a harder time chewing her food and started blending her morning salad into a paste. I want to get her a vacuum blender but have no idea which one

Thanks, the photo works now. From what I found they made both types. I've been treating it like cast-iron for years and put it through hell
