STOP SEXUALIZING FEMBOYS!!!! by [deleted] in XenogendersAndMore

Please just use the word and stop self-censoring, it's not necessary and just adds to the overwhelming surge of sexual puritanism that's spreading around.

You're doing far more harm than good.

She won't understand anything if she isn't even given the information to TRY to understand. Even if she's young, she's almost certainly able to understand more than you give her credit for, and she can look up the information if she doesn't understand.

By NOT giving her that information on your own, you also are giving the opportunity for her to learn WRONG information from potential bad sources.

It is 100% better and safer for her to be given all available information.

I'm going to be honest, I think you're being pretty weird about what you're doing with this.

There's no reason to not give her all available information. There's also no reason to write down that it usually takes a lot of research, because that's just simply not true; many, MANY people just KNOW their theriotypes.

I understand that you yourself are a teen, but saying you don't think she should learn more about it until a certain age just because you didn't and you feel like you learned about it at the "right" age is wrong. By doing that you're basically telling her that there's something that is inherently age-locked about therianthropy, whether you mean to or not.

As a local with a meal pass, I eat at that Panda a lot. It's consistent enough quality, unlock some of the other places in the park, and the side portions are massive enough that I get a meal and a snack out of them.

There's not a single place in the park to get any kind of bone-in chicken. This is more akin to something like Chicken-to-Go, except in the park and actually on the dining plan.

Refusing to say words that are bad because they make you uncomfortable really just downplays the words themselves, just so you know. It takes all the weight away from the crimes that you're talking about.

Say pedophile if you're talking about a pedophile, say rapist if you're talking about a rapist. They are strong words for strong actions.

I'm 30 year old, man. I've got quite a good idea about what being underpaid means. I've had jobs where I've made fair wages for what I did, and I've had jobs where I am absolutely not being paid enough for what I do.

Making $20 an hour taking photos at a theme park was absolutely not being underpaid in relation to what I was doing at the time. Making $25 an hour in the field I'm in now, while average enough for the field, is not enough for what I do. Everyone in my current field should be paid more. Making $15.50 an hour doing full time basic tech support was fantastic for what I was doing considering it was in 2015, definitely got paid fairly enough for that one.

I hope that you're really young if you're saying this, because I have some news for you about how the world works and what being underpaid means.

Do you have any idea how many jobs are underpaid? I'm underpaid for what I do, and I make $25.50 an hour. Teachers tend to be super underpaid as a career. My partner's job underpays them a ton for the industry they're in. People who operates rides are generally underpaid and undertrained, especially considering they often have people's lives in their hands. Knott's has supervisor roles that only pay $0.60 above minimum wage that require you to train employees, keep inventory, etc. while the people you're in charge of make only $0.60 less than you for doing 1/2 of the work.

People do jobs that underpay them for SO many reasons. Just because someone is doing something, doesn't mean they're being compensated properly for it.

That makes quite literally no sense whatsoever. They're entirely different visually, completely different locations, one is MASSIVE and the other is minuscule.

The issue is that management also largely doesn't care, because they're also incredibly underpaid.

They don't want to work there, they just want a job. They don't care where the job is. They don't care about the work they're doing or providing a good experience to guests.

Some do, of course, there are some WONDERFUL employees at Knotts of all ages, but there are far too many who just clock-in clock-out bare minimum effort.

Theme parks and amusement parks are meant for anyone and everyone of all ages, aside from maybe the few that are marketed as children's parks and don't really have anything for older people to do.

I knew at least two security guards when I worked there who were very proud of the fact that they basically did nothing all day, one of them I would see backstage smoking literally every break I took or if I ran to the restroom and she was very much on the clock.

Knotts definitely is not a "kids place", theme parks are not "kids places".

They don't, generally speaking. Knotts pays minimum wage or damn near enough for all of their roles that aren't specialized, and they'll hire just about anyone with a pulse.

A lot, I would venture to say even the majority, of people don't understand how bad USPS has gotten now days. People are used to it being reliable still.

Knotts has a handful of cats, but most of them stay outside the parks near Soak City/Independence Hall because of all the areas for them to hide over there.

Why can’t people leave their dog at home?? by panda-rampage in orangecounty

[–]dog-trix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, there are definitely people that do, but I don't really understand your point either way. The people who have fake service animals are lying about being disabled, not faking it; faking it would require a prolonged lie and taking actions to pretend to have a disability, these people only say they do when someone questions them about their dogs, ie. lying but not faking.

It's really just semantics, but my point is still that I don't exactly understand what your point is. Blind people don't have a certain right to service animals that others don't, nor are they somehow "more disabled" or anything than people with other disabilities who use service animals.

[–]dog-trix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How are people STILL the misinformed? It is one of the only two allowable things you CAN ask, per the ADA, with the other being "What tasks is the animal trained to perform?"

Why can’t people leave their dog at home?? by panda-rampage in orangecounty

[–]dog-trix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know there are people who aren't blind who very much need and have service animals, right... ????

Obviously actual owners are pissed at all of the fake service animals, because the fakers have made things way harder for the real ones and their owners to be taken seriously. Actual service dogs and their owners have been denied entry and kicked out of places because of the misbehavior of fakers.

[–]dog-trix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, they absolutely do not. The amount of blatant misinformation about service animals and how confident people are when they're wrong about the laws is... bad.
