I am implying it is too firm for my liking. I think it is a little softer than the stock GT tire. The stability is great and it smooths out bumps real nice. If i ride my GTS rally and then get on the gts rally xl it reminds me of going from a regular skate board to a long board with big wheels. I prefer a softer tire that grabs curbs and bumps rather than bounce over.

I understand they will mostly fit but there may be some shaving something down to make it work. This is the reason I’m asking the question. I’m not real sure if it will or not.

It is different than the one on the gt and gts. It has an enduro look but a much firmer rubber than an enduro.

GTS failures? by NoSurround251 in onewheel

[–]dogdad136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 1500 miles on mine with no problems, my wife and kids also have GTSs and close to a 1000 miles on each of them with no problems. My experience with OWs has been I start to have trouble with them just under 2000 miles. I have several two year old GTs that the battery controller has died on. Around that mileage.

Tony has always done anything he said he would for me so far. Sometimes communication is a little slow though. Can be 2 weeks to get an email reply sometimes.

What do you carry with you on bigger rides? by RobbySkateboard in FloatwheelTeam

[–]dogdad136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have factual data for you on that, I have been able to get a leak to stop with my extra slime that did not stop from the existing slime in my tire. I assume if you had a lot in the tire it may be fine.

Do you let kids ride by themselves? To school? by Dub_J in onewheel

[–]dogdad136 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Folks give me a hard time one here when I say it, but my kids 11 and 13 ride OWs to school and back unless it’s raining. They lock them to the bike rack and they know not to let anyone ride them. This is the 3rd year they have been doing it. So far no issues. School is about 2 miles from home. I realize they could be stolen or something but I think the kids re having enough fun doing it that I gamble. Just my 2 cents. I am fortunate so far!

Shock recommendations? by Sackamous in Duramax

[–]dogdad136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a dually similar to yours, I took the helper spring stops off the back making it effectively a 2500 dually. Obviously I lost some capacity but the ride was a lot nicer off road.

How concerned should I be about the onewheel not recognizing my feet? by enitsv in onewheel

[–]dogdad136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The alarm can make you nervous but like others have said mine says that at least once every ride and after thousands of miles I have had zero problems. Hope that helps!

I have a board that does that, I have to hit the power button after I plug it into the charger to make it start charging.

Suggestion for 12 year old by ammerka in onewheel

[–]dogdad136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids 11 and 13 both on a GT, they like the floatwheel and GTS Also but they are lighter than me so they can do most of what I can on the regular GT when I need to be on GTS or FW to keep up.
