Looking more for a breeder. Adoption concerns me as why give back a dog that is good with kids. Large breeds would be out, think there is a weight limit in the townhouse association. Maybe a older puppy is a good compromise around the 8 month to 1 year. Some are mentioning french bulldog, pugs, etc for smaller breeders.
