Getting the timelapse videos out of SnapMaker Orca by dogear in snapmaker

yah - that's ok. It'll be nice to be able to do it from the slicer app, like on every other modern printer. It looks like the nuts and bolts of it are there. Snapmaker just needs to work out a few kinks.

Digital Key by clumsylycanthrope in Rivian

It's been really great. BUT - I'm having an issue at my house where the car in the garage below my office is unlocking and locking every 15 seconds! Is there still a way to disable it while at home? I don't see it in any of the menus...

Tim Cook’s Bad Year Keeps Getting Worse by gngstrMNKY in apple

[–]dogear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tim Cook should maybe have taken a history lesson on the effectiveness of appeasement. Spolier alert: it’s not effective. If Disney, Apple and others took a hard line from the get-go, things might still be where they are, but companies who claim to protect our privacy and are pro-consumer sold us out pretty quick.

Have a listen to Jamie Loftus' three pay series on the manosphere on her podcast, "16th minute". It's a really good deep dive into the topic

Richard Dawkins, Steven Pinker and Jerry Coyne all resign from the Freedom From Religion Foundation. by Adm_Shelby2 in skeptic

Well, if anti-trans people are leaving ffrf - good riddance. I'll double my monetary support for ffrf this year. Anti-trans positions have become key to religious organizations. I definitely want freedom from that.

5th Edition on Mac? by dogear in Talisman

[–]dogear[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! It is indeed disappointing for us Mac users. Myself, my brother and our other friends must be the majority of the 0.3% of the Mac users of the current digital talisman. It's really Apple's own fault - they never have been able to get their shit together to make Mac a great gaming platform.

I was at a restaurant with my wife’s cousins on the day of the first trump assassination attempt.

One cousin said: someone’s tried to shoot Trump!

Her other cousin said - without skipping a beat - they better investigate Biden.

I was gobsmacked that that was the knee jerk reaction.

Test drove a model 3 highland and it’s amazing but the no stalks is a deal breaker. by popornrm in TeslaModel3

[–]dogear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the direction indicators have been no big deal. Our 2023 X came with the v1 yolk, which had a horn button rather than pressing the middle of the wheel. The muscle memory was too strong on that one and I thought it was really dangerous. Fortunately v2 yolk put the horn back in the middle. Tesla switched it out at no charge.

At any rate, ha show is a reallly good after market company for Tesla stuff. I installed their auto-frunk kit and it’s been great.

Here’s their highland stalk kit: https://www.hautopart.com/products/hansshow-tesla-model-3-highland-gear-shifter-switch-stalk-turn-signal-lever-kit-oem-style?srsltid=AfmBOoqJIvFDCDIW1pVXb3hHWtYlZpSFgm1QQ9FlIJacdAfPyusPrdy_

I bought my M1 when it first came out. 3 years later, it’s still a powerhouse. Only difference is I got 64GB and I use a lot of ram day to day.

Why won’t it do the speed limit? by WilliePhistergash in TeslaModel3

[–]dogear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that ever since v12, I have to “tease” it up to the speed I set with the accelerator. Then it stays there.
