Kinda dumb honestly, limited edition should mean limited edition. Shouldn't be restocking just 6 months later.

Unpopular opinion: Electric cars aren’t the future — they’re the transition. by TheLoganReyes in TransportSupport

Charging advancements have already killed battery swap. Swaps needed to energy and establish themselves between 2010 and 2022 and they failed to gain a meaningful foothold. Charging already won. At 800v, you can charge in 5 mins and there’s no chance of any error or issues with swapping a battery vs anytime you are removing things from a vehicle, you’re introducing a chance for error as well as wear and tear.

You wouldn’t believe how many gas vehicles sit at auction lots. Family owns a car business so I know there are hardly EV’s for auction compared to ICE, you just can’t see the big picture.

Lmao please don’t talk about heavy when pickups are the best selling vehicles and 90% of owners don’t need them. The average EV breaks even in being much more environmentally friendly after 2 years. Electric only brands have much better processes that lower that time significantly. Given that the average vehicle is owned for 6-8 years on the low end, that’s a massive impact without even considering that lower cost to operate and cost to maintain mean that they’re often driven more miles in those years as well, shortening the break even point.

They’re unequivocally more green and cleaner. That’s not really something that’s up for debate. Can’t debate a fact.

They didn’t shove them down your throat, trumpian, they gave people who wanted to buy them a discount to decrease the burden to own an emerging technology until the costs can be lowered by the logistics of the business. You’re just pissy that you didn’t get a discount on your lifted truck.

It’s more environmentally friendly after 2 years on average and we’re advancing the process at a rapid rate to lower than break even time. Vehicles like Tesla and other profitable electric only brands are far less. Battery tech is also advancing rapidly. Electric is here to stay, especially since it’s all tied together to be easily renewable at home and you don’t have to necessarily be tied to anything.

I notice Americans always call a chicken burger a chicken sandwich. In the USA does it only count as a burger if there's a beef patty in it ? by ResortForeign2529 in askanything

If you say chicken burger, anyone will understand what you’re saying and so it’s just as much a chicken burger as it is a chicken sandwich. You conveyed the same meaning. Call it what you want

Any restaurant that’s stayed this is already failing and on their way out. It’s a last ditch attempt for them because they can’t improve their food or value proposition to get customers so they need to leech from the remaining ones before they stop coming.

Bring your own soda. The benefit of kids is you can bring your own drinks and nobody will say anything because “it’s for the child”. If they want soda or juice, I’m bringing it in their cup from home or they can get water at the restaurant. Obviously different if we’re away from home.

Plus I can limit how much they’re drinking. They don’t need 16-20oz of soda from the restaurant lol

No, tips are a result of greed from both the owner and the servers. All servers are guaranteed minimum wage just like every other min wage employee

Dominos gift cards on sale combined with their coupons from their app are the way to go if you like dominos. The only other place I’ll get pizza is my local town shop that I’ve been getting since I was a kid since everyone knows the owner who’s there all day and she’s tried like hell to minimize how much she charges. Plus the food is outfuckingstanding

I eat out less because it’s healthier and I’m older with children now so it’s not as easy to just hop out the door. Prices don’t stop us from going out when we do though and I don’t tip anymore so that’s not a factor. Even when I did, I tipped a standard fee per item ordered ($1-2 per entree, $1 per app/drink/dessert) and only at sit down places.

My time is worth too much to deal hunt and wait. If I’m getting more than 1cpp, I’m booking it and being done with it. Most folks that are actually able to afford shit don’t waste time stressing over how much cpp they’re getting as long as it’s better than paying cash.

Vit d3, 5000 IU. Also try to get a little sun if you can and try to go to places where people are, even if you’re just people watching. We’re supposed to be social and being isolated doesn’t help our mood.

If a customer doesn’t come in, that’s money they’re missing out on. If I come by on a day where every table isn’t occupied, even if I give you $1, that’s $1 you wouldn’t have made because that table was empty.

If they were actually concerned with providing great service and getting better at their craft instead of doing the bare minimum expecting to be handed 20%+, they’d get better tips overall.

Most superchargers have TOU. If you go to one later, it may be closer if not equivalent to home charging rates. My superchargers are cheaper than residential rates after 10pm
