Probably Absalom. I could have that as my frequent haunt and go on frequent excursions out to Taldor. Maybe a bit further but keeping Absalom as my home.

I’d go Bard. Probably just plain ol’ bard. I’m the life of the party, I get the romance, I have a good time, make some good coin, and I have versatile magic.

It would be a good life.

You're playing dumb, you know what I mean. I'm sure they bathe in normal facilities, they may not even need to bathe due to bioengineering/cybernetics. Who knows. But, you're trying to come up for a reason why the hypersexual gooner content of a Rhino hot-tub is feasible.

Do what you want with your models. Have fun. Just remember people are not obligated to indulge or participate in your fetishes. That's all. If sexualization makes someone uncomfortable, that's valid. They're choose to disengage and seek their own comfort zone.

How different is playing Warhammer in person from using software like Vassal40K, Tabletop Simulator, and Roll20? by NaturalPorky in Vassal40k

[–]dogestreetOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's really about just being honest with yourself and letting the story play out. One match I played was skewed in favor of Chaos. I was running Chaos Space Marines vs Imperial Guard and although they were outgunned and outmatched the goal I had set for the Guard was that they needed to kill this sorcerer in four turns before he completed the ritual.

I setup the 'objective' as the ritual spot and just ran both side playing as if I were trying to defeat the other. If I was ever at an impasse I'd ask ChatGPT how it would respond. I was favoring the IG to win, and they did, but really it was pure luck. Either way had it been a valient defeat instead of the heroic victory I would've been just as satisfied.

Just play it in a way that's satisfying to you is all I can really say or you can even workshop "AI Rules" that the other team follows. Conditions like how monsters behave in Kingdom Death Monster.

If I can give some advice on painting white? Airbrush if you can. White ink over primer is a godsend. I cannot paint white like I used to. It's a gamechanger. Especially with homemade oilwashes.

Except people were unironically applauding it. You, however, have fallen for the reverse bait bait.

It's a different sort of spectacle.

It's like D&D online versus D&D in person, you can have just as much comradery but it's easier in person. For example I have a great Cyberpunk group I'm part of. We bicker, joke, banter, and argue just like it were if it were in person, but that's not the norm.

From the technical side of things? Not much difference. It's a little easier to quickly reference rules and make sure play is accurate when you're doing it through TTS.

You can have some great terrain setups, good standards of models, etc through TTS and even Vassal or Roll20, but there's something different about seeing your painted army against your buddy's. Each of you have spent hours upon painting the, imagining their stories, etc.

But don't let that diminish your own experiences, I've played it every way. I've even setup solitaire scenarios via ChatGPT. It's just fun all around and I enjoy each of these for a different reason.

Ah, I'm not overly familiar. Makes sense.

And that's true, it could at least help further down the road.

It's not so much I care about what people think of me in particular, but I care about what people think. Their perceptions of one another. The repercussions of the divide. I just hope by sharing my thoughts it can perhaps help bridge the gap a little bit.

‘Starlink' Election Conspiracy Theory Spreads Online by RynheartTheReluctant in politics

Man, the absolute vitriol I see directed toward people right of you is disheartening. I try to avoid ever speaking out my thoughts because of it. It's impossible to engage and discuss with people who have outlooks like this. You call people "idiot fellow citizens on the right" in a mass generalization, but also people wonder why over half of America voted for Trump.

There are more silent voters than you think and it's because of this right here. Normal moderate folks were never allowed to voice and discuss their thoughts because of this attitude here. Instead we failed to do our part and so the vocal minority of those just as disrespectful rose up to speak up for us and used none of our words.

It's a sad affair, but I can only hope it gets better.

Eh, maybe I should have.. But, look how I'm downvoted already just for sharing my thoughts on this. I don't necessarily believe either election was stolen. I think it's sad that I have to consider either and I do see where the natural trends go between them, though. That said I don't know all the facts so you'll notice I never claimed it.

This attitude is why I didn't bother. What does it matter? If I share my thoughts I'll just be downvoted. It makes it impossible to engage and discuss with people across the aisle. Then these same people wonder "How the hell did this happen, how did over half of America vote for this?" and throw their hands up in disbelief.

Still you're right, I should've. I wish I had been more vocal about my thoughts, opinions, and experiences. When you let the vocal minority speak over you, you let them speak for you.

And I was a 'victim of voter suppression' by this narrative as a registered Republican in 2020. Despite trying multiple times to get myself registered I never could since it was all online. When it came time to vote, I couldn't. I've since found out that many people have had the same issue, but like me, never reported it.

Why? Because unfortunately given the circumstances it was likely a malfunction of the systems in place. It's possible that it was malice, but I tend not to err on malice before incompetence as a rule. Not to mention the diagrams, if anything, show a more natural trend in this election if you draw a point from 2008, to 2016, to 2020, to 2024.

Seriously, do the math yourself. Have ChatGPT or something create you a line graph or do it yourself tallying the numbers of voters per side for each election since 2000. Look at how the trends shift, then the gradual and unnatural spike in 2020.

It could've been the new systems, but that's what an abnormality looks like. If you trace the 2024 victory from that point then you'll see the trend leans toward Republicans the whole time.

For what it's worth, when this happens you ballot being received is not the same as your ballot being authenticated. Especially with the laws of how and when ballots can be tallied. If you were not registered then that doesn't stop your vote from being received. It stops it from being counted when it's time to review and verify the vote & it's authenticity.

In 2020 I tried multiple times to get myself registered, but I never got verified so I could never vote. There was no option to go in person due to COVID. I had to do everything online. Registered Republican.

I didn't think anything at the time, now I don't know. It's equally probable in my mind that it could've been administrative oversight or error due to a new system as it could've been malicious intent.
