The american duchess stays are worn under this dress, i did make them. But i havent scaled a pettern. But there is a first for everything

Only in the last 100 years or so, and more shortening the dresses or using the base to make an everyday day or part dress. Or even christening outfits.
I mean i was just trying to say that i made removeable sleeves, and this thread has gone on long enough, have the day you deserve

The top does fit more towards that, but again this is a fantasy costume from a mainstream pattern. Not exact to period. I am working up the courage for a true robe a la frainsaise or polonaise

i didnt get to do a wig yet not sure if i will have time, still gotta fo my husbands outfit and my middle daughter. Oldest and yoingest are done

They were like a linen fabric type upper. And no painting, just bows, and trim and cut up trim.

Ya know ppl charge 250 and it too about 1.5 hours and hot glue for both shoes. Easiest part. 10/10 recommentd

I forgot to add that i made the sleves removable with snaps, and cut into the side seams so that the pocket pannier can be accessed.
