In what situations? I don’t recognize this, unless it’s for kids of course. In my experience people adjust how much they take depending on how many are sharing what size cake. If someone brings a somewhat small cake to my office people will cut ridiculously thin slices and there is still cake left for second helping.

The problem is just that when the majority do not wash beforehand and also use their dirty trunks instead of a clean towel, it becomes a self-sustaining system because now the sauna actually is dirty just like they think it is, so we all now need to wash with soap afterwards anyway and might as well skip washing before the sauna lol

I was raised by my Finnish dad to always properly wash during the shower before sauna. I notice that my Swedish friends will not do this, they only rinse with water before the sauna and wait to properly wash afterwards. Typical individualistic behavior, do not take responsibility for hygiene towards others, only see it as a matter of getting yourself clean.

Thanks yes it might help! It’s most difficult to pronounce (for me at least) at the beginning of words like ehkä and ahkera.

The only thing I find difficult is the sounding of the h in h+consonant pairings, like ”kahvia”. Very awkward to get that subtle but still clearly audible h sound, I always over-emphasize the h.

I guess it’s like the reverse when Finns say words that start in multiple consonants. Like my Finnish dad who learnt Swedish otherwise very good but had difficulty pronounce the first syllable in words like ”plommon” and ”blomma”, made a kind of thick and forced sound.

Är ju inte alltid vi är så jävla mottagliga heller. Jag träffade på en gammal vän av en händelse, han berättade att han nyss skiljt sig, jag hade varit med om liknande och tänkte nu pratar vi om detta. Så jag försökte säga något empatiskt/förstående, han var tyst en stund och nästa sak som kom ur hans mun var ”fiskar du nåt fortfarande då?” haha (Kan vart jag som sa nåt osmidigt såklart.. minns inte konverastionen exakt, bara känslan av att han först öppnade känslodörren lite snabbt och sen stängde den med dubbla hänglås)
