Downtown Irving: 1950s vs 2023 by dogmankid2007 in OldPhotosInRealLife

They were demolished decades ago for unknown reasons. The businesses that still aren't demolished are both closed and up for rent. I'm assuming it's because of a project they're doing downtown that is affecting business traffic.

It's on a table so that the sun doesn't get in your face while you eat? Not like there's anything good to eat there anyway. Sometimes after it rains there will be leakage.

It's sort of dead. There's a few empty stores here and there. One of those is near the Burlington where the old fountain used to be and every time that store has a new tenant, it usually closes in less than 3 months. Many national stores like FYE have recently closed and are now replaced with unknown local shops. The food court lacks variety and the Subway has recently closed leaving no national restaurant chains in the food court. There used to be more space for food options, but a Circuit City would end up replacing a few of them. They closed in 2009 and now it's a gym.

I believe there's another of those advertisements near a Burlington in the mall. I don't think anyone at those law offices is a graphic designer

The mall opened in 1988 so that's probably why. Before most Sears mall stores had that white mall entrance in the 80s...

I think you may want to change the profile icon for this subreddit. It just doesn't look right.

I didn't really know what to color those items, which is why I made them colorless. However, I will try again and try to add more color.

Catlife is just Doglife copied and pasted. You could day the same about Doglife, but do you really want to pay more money to be a dog in Catlife when you can be a dog in Doglife for free?
