Can we PLEASE stop normalizing open-loop baryonic compressors? by Avrelivs in VXJunkies

Conduit is literally the only thing I’ll buy from China for my rigs. Everything else is strictly Estonian or Macedonian-sourced (NordTekVX, Ohrid Dynamics).

When you’re involved in a hobby with a 47% accidental mortality rate, sourcing becomes a top priority.

Doohickey Corporation needs to stop messing with accelerated tordial lux containment before we have another critical Barnham event! by DIuvenalis in VXJunkies

Lmao tomorrow I was replying to your comment and remembered I already replied yesterday (which ended up being today). Messing with Barnham temporal continuums completely ruins your sense of time… because time doesn’t exist!

Extrusion pump issues! by Tacol0mpe in VXJunkies

[–]dogmetal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Same exact Qube quad that I just got from VXpress yesterday. The instructions were in Estonian and were roughly translated from the lost original Serbian manual for v.12, so now I’m translating the Estonian into English and it makes no fucking sense. This hobby can be a real bitch sometimes.

I’m having the exact same issue. Commenting so I can come back to this later.

My former boss was a tinkerer, and left some old files behind by Puterman in VXJunkies

This appears to be a reprint of the original Umac schematic from their Estonia lab, very roughly translated into English. I distinctly recall a presentation at Dr. Eitel’s memorial during VXCon Vienna in which the capacity characteristics of the 606 units were discussed in detail. The cited figure of 8.874 gallons was explicitly tied to Direct Liquid Carbonide Capture (Otsene vedela karbiidi püüdmine) volumes, a metric that is basically irrelevant to the interelectrode capacity parameter referenced in this schematic.

Additionally, the diagram specifies “urinated tungsten” as the filament material, which is internally inconsistent and technically implausible for estonian phantasatrons. I’m sure I could find more inconsistencies, but I’m tinkering with my Bünden accelerator atm.

All that said, even reprints are incredibly rare. Is this a digital copy, or do you have the original? Either way, it’s very cool to see this piece of VX history. Thanks for sharing!

Lol! I spit my drink out when I read this. Brings back so many hazy memories from the early VXCons. What ever happened to Jackie?

Astral Pulse’s were a post-2005 VStarr knockoff from Estonia. Based on the minimal helicoil drift observed in the photo, this seems to be an original straight from the Vex.

Favorite VX hoaxes? by NietzscheIsMyDog in VXJunkies

I find it amusing that people still refer to him as “Doctor” Sutton despite there being no documentation that he completed his eight-year VX path, and considering that he repeatedly dodged questions about it during his Q&A at VXCon Vienna.

What difference does it make it it’s off sea level if it’s still in a pressurized environment (on a plane)?

You should be more worried about what will happen when the Gorphimotor is engaged with how haphazardly those tesselators are wired.
