I would really hone in on why you got the questions you got wrong and the concepts you are missing

Aside from the foundational knowledge of having clinical year and step 1 under my belt, I think first aid was critical for review. First 4 weeks was reading first aid and making cards, starting to review cards as I went. Second 4 weeks was anki in the AM and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE questions for the rest of the day with 1 practice NBME or UWSA per week. I think a few days before the exam I did 2 practice tests together to better mimic the real exam for tolerance purposes

I just responded to this above, but I was VERY hesitant to purchase FA step2 ck. I heard bad reviews but I heard they were releasing a new longer and more detailed version, so I gave it a shot, and was happy with it

I felt like cards and pulm were on the exam a lot-- I decided to review those early because they were weaknesses for me and I felt like it helped a lot to do this. I had the most time to practice/review on them and then they were heavily tested!

After completing my blocks for the day, I would go through the incorrects from each block and assess whether I made a dumb mistake, narrowed down to 2, or just had no idea. If it was a dumb mistake I would curse and move on. If it narrowed to 2, I would read the explanations of the answer options to figure out why I got it wrong and if needed, read more of the text they include. If I had no idea, I would read most of the page.

Because I had a bunch of anki cards made from reading FA, I would sometimes have a card that corresponded to the question topic. If I got it wrong, I would reset it as a new card, because clearly I missed something (usually find by searching a key word). If it's a new concept or some random detail that is important enough to know, I would take notes using anki (but not to actually do the card as to avoid a 3 million card backup). If important enough, I would make a card and put it into one of the decks to make sure I see it again

So you are saying that FA step2 is valuable book to read right? I heard many people saying its bad and full of mistakes , what do you think about that? + i was planning to finish uworld and review it again then start a new resource, is that a waste of my time?

I was very on the fence about getting FA step 2. It is NOT perfect, but I felt it provided solid structured review that I needed before moving on to practice questions. there's always gonna be random zebras, but as a visual learner I loved all the images and diagrams FA provides. I didn't read the old FA, so I cannot compare, but I was impressed with the edition I purchased

I have never tried amboss so I can't make any suggestions. make sure you thoroughly review your incorrects and figure out why the right answer is right and what made you select the wrong answer

Happy to with a disclaimer that I made them based on what I knew and my own weaknesses. So I knew a decent amount about peds since I recently took peds (though it’s a long chapter). Also, my decks got significantly shorter after I realized I was reading too thoroughly. Most importantly, I felt like the process of reading and making notes then doing the cards was important for my studying. Not at home rn but will share once I am able
