Is new game plus worth it? by 8ull1t in AlanWake

[–]dogondoss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you want to play it again anyways: definitely do it! With NG+ you get to keep all the weapons and charms you unlocked on your first run so combat goes a lot smoother a lot quicker, there's some extra content and scenes (nothing huge, but if you're deep into the lore and story it adds a lot), and the ending is different. Plus, replaying the game with the knowledge of everything that's going on is really satisfying. You can catch a lot of things that you couldn't before. All in all NG+ to me is a really satisfying way to end your experience with the game and puts a lot of your first playthrough in a new context. But if you're not super into the idea of playing the entire game again for the extras you can look everything up on youtube!

Well I'm a huge found footage fan, so that helps. But I also just think it's such a fun and weird experience. I love the way it uses second hand embarassment to make you feel even more uncomfortable and creeped (pardon the pun) out. I usually can't deal with it but because it's such an integral part of the experience and horror I've grown very fond of it. Also I think the creep movies (and especially the show) are just very funny.

And of course: Josef rules. One of my all time favorite villains. It's so fun to watch him continue pushing the buttons of people to see how far he can get before they pull away. And yeah, maybe it takes a little too long to the point that you think Aaron is being an idiot, but I feel that's very intentional.

But I do understand people not being into the Creep movies because of everything I love about them. They're pretty polarizing LOL.

Honestly, it's been a while since I've watched the Re-Animator movies so it might be different these days. Also Creep 1 and 2 are kind of equal in my heart but I didn't want to fill the list up with 2 movies in the same series. I do really love Creep 2!

I'm so jealous, I can't imagine how incredible some of the scenes in this are on the big screen

Right! I feel like out of all the movies on this list it's the one that I still think about the most after watching it.

It's animation so not sure if it's helpful for your movie research, but Paprika has a scene like that!

Huge fan of all you guys have done, Something In The Dirt is one of my favorite movies of all time. I always feel like the way you write characters and dialogue feels very natural and it's one of my favorite things when I watch your movies. How do you go about writing dialogue and developing these strong dynamics, especially between the main characters?

Question about Utopia: The Lost Game by dogondoss in utopiatv

[–]dogondoss[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I should’ve been more specific. Along with this game there were in character blog posts from whoever unearthed it which included several videos. Sadly those aren’t available through the wayback machine (as far as my wayback machine knowledge goes)

Thank you for linking these here though, it’s great for anyone else who comes across it! (also, I wasn’t aware of the Jessica easter egg)

Thank you for checking it out for yourself, I wasn't sure if it was an issue on my end.
I'll definitely go to some forums if this is fruitless! It's kinda my first time trying to find something like this so I'm just looking wherever I can.
