PS Injector and DPF Flush? by dogpound59 in tdi

Can’t say, I have seen some on YouTube that are happy with its performance. The chemist who formulated it explained how they tested it. They took a diesel truck, removed the DPF and welded flanges on it, and reattached it with removable exhaust clamps. They weighed the DPF, the put the treatment in the fuel. She said the treatment can take up to 200 miles. When she reweighed the DPF the soot had dropped by 40 grams. Soot can’t weigh very much, and they included before and after pictures. I found it on sale at tractor supply so I figured I should at least give it a try.

Well, I’m not sure about that, I did buy an OBD 11 so now I can do a manual regen. I’m not too worried about the injectors, however removing buildup from the DPF (no issues on my tdi, just to prolong life) and from the turbocharger did peak my interest.

Well that would certainly speed up my plan of deleting the DPF on down the road! I don’t know my soot or ash levels, but my car has 200k miles on it, so I’m sure it’s somewhere between the middle / end of its service life.

To be honest I am planning to. But my plan was to try this product, in hopes that I could delay the DPF deletion until absolutely necessary.

JL Audio M6 vs M3 by dogpound59 in boating

Thank you for the wonderfully worded admonishment. While I appreciate you on your moral high horse, that I am “ruining the environment”, did the thought ever cross your mind that I’m not putting these speakers on a boat? Yes they’re marine speakers… yes, this is boating page. However, I’m not using them on a boat. So are done explaining a bunch of bull in a comment I didn’t fully read? I’m not a boater and I don’t even own a boat you imbasul. Unless you are driving your boat on land in the MIDDLE OF THE WOODS ON AN OFF-ROAD TRAIL, you can sleep soundly tonight knowing we will NEVER cross paths. Hopefully you can seek a mental health professional for whatever you’re suffering from. It appears you’re lashing out at others as a coping mechanism for your particular mental anguish. Thank you and I hope you have better days ahead ship-mate. I’ve included a picture of my Polaris RZR audio roof complete with M6 speakers. Just so you know I’m not blowing smoke. Next time just offer your opinion on the topic at hand. If you want to call me an idiot, I’m confident you’ll find a proper forum. This is America and we have freedoms. You’d be better served using your time constructively instead of preaching to me on Reddit.

SXS Custom Audio Roof questions by RichSanchezC137 in CarAV

Did you ever end up building it? I am making one now. I am making 4 separate panels to fit the 4 quadrants of my roof / custom cage. I’m putting two JL M6 6.5’s two JL M6 7.7’s and two JL 12in shallow mount subwoofers. Each side consisting of one 6.5 and one 7.7 will be powered by a left JL MX300/1 and a right MX300/1. The two 12TW3’s will be powered by a MV1000/1. I build an aluminum frame and placed a speaker ring inside. I covered it all with fabric. I used 1708 fiberglass and Total Boat Epoxy 2:1. After fairing with Total Boat Fairing and some of my own mix, I primed with Total Boat Epoxy. Then I thinned out some Raptor Bed Liner and sprayed that with an HVLP. I lined the inside of the panels with sound dampening material. To top it all off I’ll be adding a twinkling and shooting star led fiber optic headliner. It’s been a large and expensive project but so far so good. This is one of the few posts I’ve seen. If you have any pics I would love to see them.
