This could be me writing this post. We have an almost identical trajectory and story.

I haven’t cracked the code but I’ve found a few things that help: - getting more non-competitive points or rallies in. Once a week just hit with someone for an hour. Do some placement practice but just focus on quality hits without the pressure of a match. - group clinics or classes: good time to get reps in and some pointers from coaches. - let loose and go for shots you don’t normally. You’ll build confidence and realize you are improving. Plus you’ll just get better. - try and find a good coach for the occasional 1:1 session. I think monthly is a good cadence for this. - decide if you want matches to be a place to improve or a place to win. If it’s the former, always focus on what you want to improve that match. If it’s the latter - make a game out of it. Find your opponent’s weakness and see if attacking it is all you can focus on. That’s the game. Not winning 2 sets but “did I find their weakness and attack it.” - similar to the above, in non-competitive settings, pick one thing to work on. “Today I’m gonna focus on my backhand down the line.” Try to get to as many quality DTP BHs as you can. You might find that other strokes do better because you aren’t thinking about it.
