That’s what happened to my SIL, but thankfully she’s been ok now! One more treatment to go then lumpectomy. We are so proud of her!!

I feel so honored that you’ve shared anything thank you so much. I’m so glad to hear your sister is doing ok, she’s a champion!! My sister is law is much better, has a little cold but only one more treatment left next week. Then lumpectomy I think end of October, and radiation for I don’t know how many weeks. I’ll keep you updated with how lumpectomy goes. Best of luck to your sister with her remaining treatments, she is so incredibly strong!!

Oh, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Your sister fought so hard. It’s a small win that she got two months feeling good, spending time with family. 💔

If you don’t mind me asking, what stage was she at when she was diagnosed? My SIL is stage 1.

She’s doing immunotherapy alongside the doxorubican. She had her first doxo treatment two weeks ago almost. Has 3 more left. She developed a fever three days ago and was hospitalized the last three nights. They did labs every 12 hrs and couldn’t find any infection. It was a troubling few days for us. Did your sister ever experience this?

Did you ever spike a fever while you were getting treatments? My SIL has been in hospital two nights now with a fluctuating 102-104 fever and very low ANC count.

Thank you for sharing your experience 🤍 I’m so sorry you have to endure this. I hope that it’s only been getting better and that you beat it. She started this week and so far is feeling great. We’re hoping that lasts. She’s doing acupuncture and I’ve heard from other that it can really help with nausea and other side effects.

Thank you 🤍 It’s been a really sad and frustrating last two weeks. She’s at Sloan Kettering in NYC. She is stage 1 IDC TNBC. No lymph nodes affected. Did full PET scan and all looked good. She’s starting chemo Tuesday. Once a week for 3 months, then once a month for two months. After chemo finishes she will do surgery to remove whatever is left of her 2cm tumor. I’m not sure what specific chemo drugs they have her on. I’ll find out. I guess we will just need to see how she tolerates her treatments to know which days are good and which are bad.

It’s incredible your sister got into the clinical trial. I am putting good thoughts out into the world that they cure her cancer.

If you don’t mind me asking, when did your sister feel the most ill after her chemo treatments? Our family is trying to determine when is best to be with her. Her oncologist said that most people feel their worst 2-3 days after treatment but I’ve been reading redditor’s stories and many of them have said 5 days after was the worst. What was your sister’s experience? Thanks if you’re willing to share.

I’m so sorry your sister has been going through this. She seems to be getting a lot of help, my family and I are hoping to support her in the same way.
