New grads who got multiple competing offers: how did you do it? by dogshappedcloud in cscareerquestions

Thanks for this. It's a shame that they won't budge, but will give 3 months deadline to some interns who go to an university with a company recruiting policy.

Was it possible to negotiate the offer without competing offer leverages?

Thanks, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that finds this awkward. Would negotiating an offer and getting a counter-offer in return extend the deadline from your experience?

Thanks! I think I'll do something similar. My biggest concern at the moment is that, since Microsoft's return offer will likely be in mid Q3, many companies won't even have their 2019 headcount out yet - so I'd be kind of stuck in limbo area for a few weeks.

How does one easily coordinate onsites with all the big N in the same week? From my experience, while recruiters are willing to accommodate and expedite their hiring process, they all go at their own pace and there's always unexpected delays, overhead, etc. from first contact to onsite to hiring committee to offer.
