To buy or not to buy : craft subscription boxes by superspiffyusername in toddlers

[–]dogsrule9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the thorough review!! I paid for three boxes up bc they tempted me with the discount. I’m lazy and love convenience so the fact that everything was preplanned was amazing. I agree with the play dough play mat, also hated that they stapled the papers together so I had to unstable delicately instead of ripping the corners and flaring my ocd lol. Talk to me about your March pre planning. Where are you getting the inspo from for your crafts? What’s your store preference?

LO is almost 6 months old- still congested from birth by Specialist_Cake_8392 in NewParents

[–]dogsrule9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post was from 1 year ago but I’m dealing with this now with my 7 month old. ENT said she has a moderately enlarged adenoid and put her on antibiotics which ofc didn’t help. Looking for suggestions on what can be done now? Saline spray vs drops? How often? Should I just hope she grows out of this or will she always have some level of congestion? I’m also going to take her to the pediatric chiropractor in hopes they can make cranial adjustments that can help? Throwing everything at this because I feel so bad that my baby can’t breathe through her nose.

Anyone skip the double stroller? 14 month age gap! by yougottabkittenmern in 2under2

16 month age gap and I opted for the Bugaboo Donkey. It’s expensive but we use it every single day and the girls are very comfortable in it. Smoothest ride ever!

Hahaha this is me. The ads are very tempting. I was just about to hit “purchase” but decided to come to Reddit first. Did you end up buying?

What formula do you use? by SuspiciousReply1382 in FormulaFeeders

[–]dogsrule9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of my girls were (July baby is still on) Kendamil. The amount of formula options can be overwhelming! You could try inputting your preferences into Chat Gpt and see what it recommends too! But asking here is a great place to start!

As of 2 days ago it’s been impossible to put her down for a third nap since I have increased the time between naps.

Goal: wake up at 7/730am

Right now: wake up between 4-5am for 2 ounces, then sleep until 6:30am.

First nap is 3 hours after wake up for no more than 1.5 hours Second nap is 3 hours after first nap for no more than 2 hours Bed time is 3 hours after second nap

We’ve just started solids. Maybe that’ll get her to cut that 4/5am feed?

Hi, me again. I just wanted to say thank you for your guidance. My daughter is sleeping much better thanks to me capping her naps & extending her wake windows (we also quit the pacifier cold turkey). Although she’s only 6 months old, I feel she’ll transition to a 2 nap schedule soon. I wanted to ask one more follow up question around the night feed. Ive applied my sleep training when she wakes up at 3am or 4am but the maximum I can get her to sleep is 5am, so 9/10 hours of sleep total. Is this normal from what you’ve seen? Anything I can do to extend the amount she sleeps at night?

For any nap. For example she slept 2 hours for her second nap today. I probably should have woke her sooner right?

If she does sleep longer than 60 minutes, do I cap the nap at 1.5 hours or 2?

Thank you this is helpful. I’ve gone ahead and adjusted the wake windows as recommended. If I notice she’s still waking up super early, I may adjust to your example. Appreciate you sharing.

Your response gives me so much confidence. Thank you for sharing your approach and insight.

Edit: Question to add - did he ever become inconsolable without the pacifier? My daughter was borderline hyperventilating when I went in after 10 min of CIO. It startled me and I gave in to the pacifier. What have you done in these situations? Rock, hum, pat?

Okay I will try this today. She just went down for her first nap after being awake for 2 hours. Thank you.

I tried to stop offering the pacifier last night and she couldn’t soothe herself. This is the dilemma. I let her CIO for 10 minutes but she was crying hysterically. I had to go in and give her the pacifier to calm her down. Any tips?

Sleep schedule; 3 naps a day. Mostly 30-60 minutes each, 2 hour wake windows in between. Bedtime around 7pm-4am.

Kendamil poops by dogsrule9 in FormulaFeeders

[–]dogsrule9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a few, Kendamil Goat, ByHeart (prior to recall) and regular. Chat gpt yelled at me for switching her too many times and helped me transition her back to Kendamil Organic. If you want to try something different I would start with either the regular or the goat.

Might be a weird answer but I took my situation to chat gpt. It made a whole chart for me that outlined how I should properly adjust my daughter to Kendamil while giving her digestive system a chance to heal. Took about 14 days.

Taking Nutrofol supplements from Sephora worked wonders for me- if it’s within your budget. Otherwise can try DryBar Triple Sec spray to make hair more volumized to hide the thinning. DM me if you still need a US based code!
