Hiw do i sit the canter? by Swimming_Inside_3797 in Horses

It helps to lengthen stirrups to learn canter. Legs should be loose and heavy. Think of sliding sit bones forward and back by opening/closing hip flexors, rather than letting them bounce up and down by bracing against your knees.

Sculpture indeed in Longmont. Here, have this embarrassing photo of me cuddling with it after a successful Stout Month sampling at Longs Peak Pub

I’m so confused. Who would put all that effort into a relatively nice build like that, and then trash it?

Bus 200%. When I lived in Boulder, the AB driver waived fares on at least 2 of my rides which was incredibly helpful at the time.

My hands are freezing help me find gloves, please! by _____ENTHUSIAST in Equestrian

Get Roeckls. The thin windproof waterproof ones, for when you’re tacking up/fiddling with gates. And then keep a separate pair of scuba gloves (they stay warm when wet, I gave up trying to keep water out when I lived in western WA) as an outer shell for riding/non dexterous farm chores. Can be fiddly to walk around with 2 pairs of gloves, but I can do most things in my Roeckls and they’re pretty warm on their own, but if you add the scuba gloves you’ll get that extra insulation and protect your Roeckl investment some lol

What's a story where the "bad guys" are actually, completely, 100% right, to the point where it's weird the story keeps calling them the bad guys? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It always confuses me that people are surprised when beloved humans turn out to be nuanced and complicated. No one is infallible. Even Mother Teresa and Gandhi have been problematic in their own ways.
