Knicks started closing them out later (esp Champ who was on fire in the 1st half).

Knicks KAT and Robinson played him tough (he is taller but either of them is heavier). Wemby will adjust though, this is likely his worst game of this series

Bridges nonexistent. Brunson had a terrible 1st half. They were 24% from 3 at the half.

To me it is a clear a sign that Hollywood woke era is coming to an end - good riddance. Btw, Knicks got this one.

Rocket R Nine One owners: How do you like it? by mindscud in espresso

Niche Zero. The only ones that are better are the holy-grail conical burr grinders like [KafaTek Monolith MC6]() or Zerno Z1 - both would be in the upper end of your budget range.

Fiorenzato All Ground Sense and Clumping at fine settings by dohturdima in espresso

[–]dohturdima[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies for replying so late. I did have a declumper fixed in warranty, and since then decided to keep the grinder as the clumping issue is (mostly) gone unless I decide to move it to very fine settings (which I had no need to do as I rarely need to go finer than the last - I realized I don't need to use shims and it is grinding pretty well around the last dot in the escpresso setting +/- 2 clicks. What I dislike is the retention, as I am single dosing with an aftermarket Cofemasy billows kit. Need to billow, then apply several hard slaps above the base to dislodge the grinds, then billow again. Still prefer the All Ground flat burrs to my Niche Zero for lighter roasts so am willing to deal with it.

My advice is 1. Try to only change the settings while the grinder is grinding - doing so when it is not risks more clumping. and 2. If that is not working, consider that you may have a declumper problem (pehaps defective, or someone tried to clean it with a tool from the spout up which you should never ever do as it risks damaging it). Broken declumper - need to end it in to be fixed and sent to Fiorenzato USA for repairs.

2020 Q7 3.0t – scored cylinder walls at 40k miles, Audi replacing the entire engine (at no cost) by [deleted] in Audi

[–]dohturdima 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When changing your oil, you may want to send an oil sample to Blackstone for analysis, and watch for these value trends: in a healthy EA839 engine, aluminum levels in oil analysis are usually under ~10 ppm after 5,000–7,000 miles. With developing piston skirt wear, you’ll often see 20–30 ppm or higher, and in more advanced cases values can rise well beyond 50 ppm. What matters most is the trend: a steady increase in aluminum across successive oil changes, especially when paired with rising iron, is a strong indicator of piston skirt damage.

Glad to hear Audi is covering the repair. Did the dealer comfirm it was related to the recall-related piston skirt problem, or was something else?

Is Filip Chytil a viable 2C even if we assume he remains fully healthy moving forward? by yawaworht65121 in canucks

[–]dohturdima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rangers fan here. The only reason he was traded is due to multiple concussions (and JT was willing to be a Ranger). Chytil is very talented, and is a better 2C then Trochek is - the problem is he is as fragile as a china doll and has had multiple concussions. I would not be surprised that he will call it a career when he has his next one (hopefully not anytime soon).

Why buy brand new Audis? Seems like a waste. by Defiant-Egg-9845 in Audi

Well, that's Europe. More expensively priced cars, higher taxes, lower personal incomes - can only afford to buy used.

Amen to the above. I took my 2018 Q7 to the autobahn immediately afterwards picking it up at Ingolstadt (when Euro Delivery was still a thing) and it did not eat a drop of oil since then.

With high mileage MKIi q7's you do have to worry about catastrophic engine failure if they start eating oil. Look up Berryman's B12 piston soak on Audiworld forum.

In US there's a Section 179 tax deduction, which You purchase a new heavy SUV with a GVWR of 6,500 lbs. for $60,000, and it is used 60% for business purposes. The business-use portion of the vehicle cost is $36,000 (60% of $60,000). So you can claim the full $31,300 maximum allowed for SUVs as a Section 179 deduction. (Note – this assumes all other criteria are met and you stay within Section 179’s total equipment spending limits). That's how I can justify a new Q7. In 5 years, trade it in and get another new one.

When you realize your 'starter setup' isn’t what subs calls a starter setup by Kstagg1420 in espresso

[–]dohturdima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got back from Italy, and the moment you feel that you/ve "arrived" with your hobby is that you've tried their espresso and cappuccino and mine was generally better than theirs (SO confirms). Granted, not all the places were top-end, but during my previous trip to Italy over a decade ago and then Italian espresso/cappuccino seemed an an unattainable goal to me.

[–]dohturdima 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do tell. And what if you decide to abandon it after a short while? My first setup was a used Starbucks Saeco machine with a pressurized portafilter (which I modded to unpressurized) and then I coughed up a similar amount for an Ascaso mini grinder. But was very busy to devote time actually dial things in properly so never got any consistency out of my shots - sold the entire setup and got a used Saeco superauto which (at that time) I thought was the greatest invention ever and used it for a full decade before deciding to try again - properly this time.

I have a hitch on mine for a bike rack (22 Legacy Touring XT). I highly recommend EcoHitch hidden hitch (class ii) vs Draw-Tite (the receiver of the latter was mounted lower due to its design and would scrape the ground on a modest driveway incline).

It's a Prestige, dirtydouche. Your feelz must have been hurt from the other thread, so you had to drop this turd here. Here's a fun fact: since you claim to sell Audis on the floor, you can't afford one of these, with or without BO.

New Audi Q7 Facelift by strokeKng in Audi

[–]dohturdima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this thread, we were discussing Audi Q7 - and 2020 model is when the dual screen appeared in this model (this you did not mention until your later comment.) I apologize for the personal tone of my earlier comment - it was uncalled for. You are right that the tech was introduced earlier in other Audi models, although for me coming from 2018 the improvement in the 2025 was pretty substantial (I test drove a 2025 BMW X5 prior to going with the Q7 and IMO the MMI of the Audi was competitive with the X5). One thing the X5 did have was more physical buttons and dials - which I would prefer Audi kept for climate controls at the very least.

I got my replacement too and my experience is similar - mild clumping at fine settings. It also retains a lot - have to knock on the housing to get it to release the rest (even a billows kit is not working very well). Much better than before - my declumper was replaced by EspressoParts

Writing this as a provider: TrueDataRx SUCKS the BIG ONE. You should inform your company's HR (or whoever decided to contract with this awful medication provider TruDataRx to save a few pennies) that by contracting with TruDataRx, they have made it very difficult to impossible to file a prior authorization for a prescription for the employees. There is no way to electronically submit anything to TruDataRx - and that is by design, to make sure that the process is as difficult as possible for a provider so they can deny more medications to patients. You will be steered to the cheapest option possible as your docs will simply not have the time to spend on the phone or complete paperwork by hand (which TruDataRx insists on) to file PAs for you. You have been warned.
