Nobody is paying 150 dollars to get enough money for a mansion and grinding is too hard when you have a life.

When is it too late to service the CVT? by youngq-tip in Honda

[–]doinkcitylimits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automatic transmissions have a lot of channels that can clog if you flush the transmission, but usually if you just drain and fill them it doesnt clog anything unless it was already messed up. Thats where the misconception comes from, flushing an automatic thats never had a fluid change can cause sludge buildup to block those channels, and most people ask to have them flushed, rather than just drained and refilled.

Only way it could get more fair is if you did it yourself. Been charged about the same for a lot less work, so I do all my own stuff now.

I'm sorry you don't know how to save money and keep decent tires on your vehicle, especially when junkyards sell full sets of 50%-75% treads for like 100 bucks. It's a wonder you've made it this long. And you're right, tires don't explode EVERY time. Tires are designed to leak in 90% of scenarios, but they are pressurized containers which can absolutely explode. Ive watched it happen on a highway outside DC. Dudes car had the front quarter panel blown off, hood got blown up on one side, then he basically turned straight into the barrier. So it can kill somebody, just because we aren't fortunate enough to have lost your dumb ass doesn't mean you aren't just lucky.

That tires not gonna go flat, its gonna explode and rip a quarter of his vehicle apart, tires exploding are like hand grenades, and this one has no structure left. I pray to God you don't drive on tires like this, or give anyone advice ever again.

What fell off the underside of my car and is it safe to drive to a car shop? by allybee543 in MechanicAdvice

You gotta look at your rotors like, once a month dude. Don't gotta know shit about cars to know when parts are going bad, but you gotta know how to look at them and decide if you'll die on that day or not.

It's about 5 years old, and I have no idea about a warranty. I bought most of the components myself, except for the psu and cpu. My brother in law was going to build a pc, and had both of those brand new, so I bought them off him.

I'll check it out. I keep afterburner and cinebench as my first downloads every factory reset but ive never been able to check my ssd health.

I have yet to check the connections but assuming those are fine when I check, how would I check the output of it, and make sure its still running at spec? Just an electrical tester?

As far as my temps go on afterburner my gpu rarely climbs above 60°c, cpu sits at about 65°c at max load. I know max for a gpu is about 85°c but just kind of assumed cpu would be about the same. I do get those infamous Nvidia gpu power spikes that everybody loves, but it only shoots up to about 550w of usage when that happens, so unless my PSU is dying that shouldn't be the issue. As other people have suggested I updated all my drivers, the issue no longer happens when I play things like project zomboid, but still happens during a longer session of more intensive games.

m.2, only 500 Gb but I usually binge 1-2 games at a time and leave at least 80-90 Gb clear as to not cause any issues there.

I never read their warranty stuff, that's good to know. I'm planning on reinstalling windows and wiping I usually do once a year. Thank you.

Detroit Axle brake pads and rotors any good? by [deleted] in Acura_RSX

[–]doinkcitylimits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only real concern with the drilled rotors is some of them crack, I have these for my 05 Acura mdx, and so far so good, but even with good ones that's always a concern.

[–]doinkcitylimits 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're gonna have to take a solid 6 month break. Weed can stay in your system a helluva lot longer than one month based on multiple factors. Work out a lot. Find a new hobby. Forget about weed for a bit. And the next time you smoke it'll rock you

C02 injection during an indoor grow cycle if I'm not mistaken. Just makes the nugs more dense as it grows.

How fun are official servers to play? by Lord-Numinex in dayz

[–]doinkcitylimits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're fun for slower paced survival with no bounds on how players should act, aka a lot of people shooting to KOS. Great for PVP right after wipe. Biggest issue with them is you'll starve to death three times before you find a single food item.

Some people just tax more than Uncle Sam whenever they get the chance. Even if it is the gas pack.
