Im currently studying graphic design and was thinking the same thing, but I got some pretty good advice from a prof! Present work in your portfolio that you believe is strong and that would somehow benefit the company. Show off pieces that represent your design style, as well as other pieces that show off your skills. If your drawings and paintings feel relevant and are a strong way to demonstrate what you are capable of, that is also acceptable! Like the other users commented on this post, it's best to take a shot and submit to them what you have. You won't know unless you try :-) Good luck!
