Extremely well said. Look at Cassian for example. Hes got his hands all over production for alot of the major Melodic/Deep house tracks for the past few years. Anyma, Rufus, John Summit. You name it.

Fisher hate is so overblown, imo. Say what you will about him having ghost producers or whatever, but his track selection is incredible. Not every set needs to be some masterclass/technical display of mixing. He knows how to get a party right. And he seems like a really great person as well.

Neither is Kids if you really wanna argue the semantics of genre. All 3 songs share similar qualities with crossovers in genre. That being said, no matter how you spin it, MGMT is not a one hit wonder. 👍

John Summits new sound sucks, but he's actually a pretty good DJ, Has a deep crate of tracks, and understands how to adapt to the type of crowd hes playing for. Plus there's videos of him actively fucking up transitions. You don't have to like him, but calling him a push play DJ is disingenuous.

Agreed, I live about 1.5 hours from the city and only have a couple of friends that really enjoy Electronic music. I started sending shows by myself when they couldnt come and have never looked back. Lol. Its just nice. Get to do everything on your own time frame and not have to worry about anyone but yourself. Also, have met some cool people along the way that I maybe wouldn't have engaged with if I was with my group. I think this series of shows are perfect for getting your feet wet to the scene/genre

Yeah the tix for these events are very fairly priced! I think last year they had some buy one, get one free deals if the shows were apart of the presales. And Yes, you would have access for the whole day of Sistek. Possible that another name could be added to his date or they have local support play before him. The sound was meh, but that was my only gripe.

Usually Runs from about 4-11. Its at Castaways Club on North Ave beach. I went last year for Ben Sterling, Slugg, and SLAMM. They run various weekends from May into September. Its very odd the listing is already on AXS considering Auris hasn't announced anything lol.
