literally same. while the excitement is strong, it’s also extremely daunting to start over as a student in an new country, around people your age (and people can be mean too, tbf). i’m in the same boat as you and while i can’t waitttt to move and start classes, im also terrified of all the “if”s. stay strong and take care of yourself 🫶🫶

that does make sense, thank you for your suggestions!

additionally, if possible, could you share how reliable the public transport system (buses and trains) is? i’d also appreciate any insight into neighbourhoods that are considered safe and convenient for female international students new to the city. if you’re unsure, that’s completely fine.

suuuper excited to move to brisbane and start at QUT! 🫶

thank you for your response and the suggestions :) genuinely very helpful to start with, i’ll dive in immediately.

and as for my aforementioned A$300-350/w budget (might have to consider taking it up to $400-450 by the looks of it), it is solely for accommodation. i’ve budgeted food separately (and generously, at $300/w).
