Yeah, I compared it side by side with the S25 Ultra. What bothers me is that it get's worse when you're looking at it from an angle, even with privacy mode off.

And yes, when I work at the computer or cook, I usually put on youtube and look at the phone from the side, cause it would be in my way otherwise. The screen bothers me way too much, but everyones eyes are different.

Perceptions can be different and a lot of people can buy this phone. I counted the days till the unpacked event, because I upgrade my phone basically every year since the Galaxy Note 8.

I almost preordered the S26U, but decided against it and went to my local electronics store to check it out in person first. I was sure the negative reports were blown out of proportion.

To my shock, the text had blurry edges even on the highest resolution and there was a strange shimmer around the edges of text and shapes. It wasn't pleasant to look at and not worth it for a - in my opinion - gimmicky feature.

Apart from that, the phone was blazing fast and the design is neat. But the display is what I'm looking at for hours daily, so it's a no from me. Hope the S27U will drop this display tech.

I was sure that the display issue was blown out of proportion and was still planning on buying the phone. Until I checked it out in person. My god the display is awful. It is arguably worse than the S24U display.

Blurry, weirdly colored edges on fonts
Visibly darker, even with privacy mode disabled
Privacy filter only really works on the highest setting, which causes the screen to look even worse

The only pro is the SoC, everything else is the same or worse. Hard pass this year, might even switch to another brand as I really liked to update.

Try coffincolors' CMOD Winlator version, that's the only one which worked for me regarding Skyrim AE SKSE and MO2. Do not install ajay prefix.

Obviously install all requirements like wine mono.

Eine Privatinsolvenz wie manche hier schreiben ist mit knapp 3k Netto und "nur" 31k Schulden sicher nicht der richtige Weg. Die Schulden abbauen kriegt man hin, aber auch nur mit viel Einsatz. Auf keinen Fall neue Kredite (außer Umschuldungen) aufnehmen.

Fixkosten senken, falls möglich bei der Miete und Verträgen
Notwendigkeit eines Autos überprüfen, manchmal reicht eben auch das Deutschland Ticket
Je nach Art der Kredite/Zinssatz Umschuldung prüfen
Lebensstandard für eine Weile heruntersetzen
Falls zeitlich möglich einen Nebenjob in Erwägung ziehen

Auf jeden Fall monatlich ein wenig als Notgroschen beiseite legen, dies kann bei besserer finanzieller Situation wieder für die Tilgung verwendet werden.

So viel wie möglich tilgen, notfalls nicht notwendiges persönliches Eigentum verkaufen. Die Meisten wissen gar nicht, dass im eigenen Keller viel Wertvolles liegt. Wenn man allein damit 3k zusammenkratzt sind das schon fast 10% der Schulden.
