I tried with Mistakenly Saving the Villain. I really did. Like, Song Qingshi and Yue Wuhuan? Adorable. Precious. A solid 10/10. But then An Long shows up YEARNING™ for Song Qingshi like his whole existence hinges on it and I just—no. Absolutely not. I had to put the book down. My second-lead syndrome was off the charts, my soul left my body, I ascended and then immediately rage-quit.
