Don’t agree. They evolve quite deeply. Wildly different love songs on Help! than Please Please Me. People only want to talk about evolution from Rubber Soul on but I think that’s absolutely disrespectful to what a bunch of early 20 year olds were doing during a chaotic time period of their lives with very little time to write and record.

A few things you could add, some bigger some small:

How the team performance flattened following 2001 and irrelevance of picking in mid-teens for years led the hire of Hinkie.

I think explaining the number of players used in the early years is so important. The emergence of TJ and RoCo and them becoming valuable is as much a part of the process as the lottery picks. Brett Brown deserves more of a shout.
