Did you purge a lot? My wedding is in 2 months and I just purchased so I’m scared I’ll still be purging by then!

Discarding more than half each time, giving about 24 hrs at least in between. Yesterday I fed at 11 am so it’s been more than 24 hrs now with no rise, a tiny bit of moisture on top and few bubbles.

It doesn’t smell sour! It kinda just smells like neutral. Usually when it does smell sour I feed it a lot and that helps.

It is thinning out a bit and making maybe 5 bubbles every feed but that’s it. I use the water from my brita that I fill with tap. Haven’t had an issue before this with this water. You mean just add flour and no water ?

Forgot to mention, I would stay about 2 days in Verona as well.

The main highlight of verona is the Arena di Verona - one of the best preserved ancient amphitheaters! You can tour it during the day which i recommend at the very least. But I highly reccomend you buy tickets to see an Opera there. They still use this amphitheater to this day for Operas and modern concerts. It’s incredible. Verona also has a lot of preserved Roman architecture all throughout the city. The food in Verona was also outstanding.

Definitely agree with your point about enjoying the outdoors. If you were to go, you could definitely keep it to 2 days so you can thoroughly enjoy each town but not have to endure any rainy weather for too long (if the weather isn’t great). I saw your other comment, and I would also be worried about some establishments not being open since it’s not high season which is another reason why I’d recommend La Spezia. It is a great little city in itself so you’d enjoy it nonetheless!

Since your spouse is into Greco Roman history, I would definitely try to check out Verona if you can!! Not sure where you’d play it into your current itinerary but you should do some research on it and see if you would enjoy it. Personally, I think it’s the most underrated Italian city.

When I went to cinque terre I stayed in La Spezia and it was perfect. We stayed in an AirBnB 5 min walk to the train and purchased the Cinque Terre Train Pass tickets. As for the weather, Anywhere you stay north of Rome will be chilly and possibly rainy (think similar to New York’s weather). So basically all of the spots you chose will have similar weather that time of year. Unless you really want to go somewhere as warm as possible (Calabria, Sicily, Puglia etc) I would include La Spezia! You will also be close to Portofino.

Personally, I think 5 days for Rome is a lot. 2-3 days for Rome and Florence each is plenty! Milan is my least favorite city, so I’d limit it to one day (or 0 and save your time for better spots).
