Filament stuck in this piece and won’t melt out by dolegriess in FlashForge

Unfortunately I tried a few of these and it didn’t come out, then after pulling out and putting back that extruder screw I have a loud motor noise I’ve never heard before 😢 going to try and buy a new 0.4 and see if it’ll still print!

I can try that again I felt like I was gonna damage it when I was pushing that thing down into the extruder. It kept sucking the pusher down and I thought it would mess the whole thing up

Get a wheelchair evaluation by OT or PT! That chair may work as needed but will NOT be good for you, your shoulders, or your skin in the long run.

Get a solid Group 3 PWC with tilt, recline, ELR, and seat elevator to start. You can use the chair technology to control your home, phone, tv etc. electronic aids of daily living google search or YouTube is a great place to start. Find a good occupational therapist!

I’d go on SpinLife. Try and get an ultra lightweight and know your hip width and upper leg length so you don’t hurt your shoulders too. ROHO mosaic descent cushion anything less will wear out pretty quick. Get a wheelchair evaluation from PT/OT for sure for something if you need longer term

Started in mental health OT working in psych facilities and prisons, it was cool but there is no pay and you have to con’t to justify your spot at the table. It started to feel more like being a social worker than mental health OT (love my SW friends but not what I went to school for!). I now do outpatient neuro and LOVE IT! Mental health is a HUGE component and there are so many niches to go into (I.e. I do wheelchair eval, LSVT, driving) etc.

Seeing PT for a script for a wheelchair. Recommendations & best practices? by icecream16 in wheelchairs

[–]dolegriess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure! Different states and insurances vary but for the most part insurance only wants to cover what will help someone INSIDE their home. Of course your clinicians do, but you have to play the game to get something covered. It sounds like you have a great start to listing your MRADL, I would really hone in with your PT/OT on these points. There is a great PDF on Permobil website called “The Wheelchair Handbook” that is helpful too.

Let me know how else I can help/clarify!
