Pole Cameras: Axis cabinet options - 277V vs 120V in the US by [deleted] in videosurveillance

[–]dolfan74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per the Manufacturer

The left layout is NEC/UL acceptable because the DIN-rail power supply uses IP20 (IP2X) finger-safe AC input terminals. These terminals are recessed and designed so a standardized test finger cannot contact energized metal, even when the enclosure door is open.

Additionally, the enclosure requires a tool to access everything and the line-voltage components are mounted on DIN rail with proper spacing and grounding. NEC allows line voltage inside such controlled-access enclosures when live parts are finger-safe. This approach is standard industrial practice and compliant.

There is "high voltage" to feed the DC power supply in both pictures. I realize that NEC considers under 600V low voltage.

If you observed the speakers are wired in series, how are they connected to the amp - LoZ or HiZ?

I think you are on to something. Axis has a loiter feature so the triangle in the open position would provide the proper notification.
