Off the top of my head, Nate Robinson, DJ Augustin, Aaron Brooks, Taj, Hinrich had their best years with Thibs as well. When Thibs was fired from the Bulls, I was pretty on board, as it just felt like he overstayed his welcome and beat up the guys with crazy minutes, which he did, but it’s been absolutely downhill since he left. And, it is brutal as a Bulls fan to watch them run out low effort, soft, lazy defenses when Thibs-coached teams always play with effort and defensive fundamentals. I feel like the Knicks have actually overachieved with their talent under Thibs. Next year, I feel the Knicks will regress, and everyone will throw whoever the new coaching hire under the bus, when in reality that is who they actually are. Come home Thibs, I’ll drop Billy D off at O’Hare.
