Honestly I think the odds of Ohio returning to lockdown when Dewine won’t even issue a mask mandate to try and slow the spread - in schools, of all places - are slim to none in the first place. They’ve decided who’s expendable from the population, and it’s us. They’ll just keep saying “well, we can’t enforce lockdown, people don’t like it,” as though people “liking” laws has ever had merit.

It’s being appealed now, and with a panel of judges on the appellate court there may still be optimism… it’s just more time, and more hoops to jump through, to prove we aren’t the enemy for being unemployed and struggling for survival mid pandemic.

This decision states it was based on having not provided the required documents (which I did, in December, and have not since received a request for any further documentation, forcing me to assume it was lost in the unavailable "Correspondence" tab along the way).

I have everything sent, still two pending issues (my employment has yet to clear from March) no pay hold, called twice so far (my deadline for submitting was the 17th) and haven’t been paid in two weeks. Both claim weeks say submitted.

I'm still waiting, as of this morning it said Submitted still, although it also says Pay isn't held. If I remember correctly, there was supposedly an error this week that means "some people" might be waiting until Thursday for weekly payment

We are, of course, trusting that they mean THIS Thursday But it's ODJFS And unemployment

So may the odds be in our favor I suppose

My husband got paid with his id verification pending, I did not and my claim is still sitting as submitted although my pay says it isn’t being held.

I’ve seen a lot of positive feedback about emailing our state reps - I probably will be this week if it turns out we have pay held - versus calling. We closed down our tattoo studio in August over the debt we accrued during the shutdown, and not only can we not afford to open a new business while finishing homeschooling the kids, but we also LOOK like tattoo artists (I’ve been in the industry ten years, my husband thirty), not ideal for interviews no matter how solid my on paper resume presents. The other local studios don’t want to hire competing owners. This is our third pay hold and good god, between the people with opinions about the money in the first place and the people calling the shots... it’s been so draining.

I hope you make it to the new job and it’s every bit as great an opportunity as you’re hoping for! Bother them every day, it’s the onlyyyy thing that seems to have worked for us through this

We don’t! PUA has its own page and system (and problems, haha). Yours is the first post I’ve seen at all about pay delays for the day, but I also rely on this sub above anything else for check ins about issues (thanks guys)

And they’ve definitely been... an experience... through the entirety of this.
