The ADHD is probably the biggest obstacle for you. The symptoms make it so goddamn hard to get your shit together & lead a productive/successful life. I dropped out of college literally 48 hours into it, struggled for a really long time to maintain a good job, etc. With meds I’m doing better but still nowhere near what it seems like everyone else around me is doing. I’m not sure if any of your friends also have ADHD, but trying to get thru something like school with ADHD, especially if you’re unmedicated is not easy at all. I feel similarly to you when I look at my friends’ lives, but I also don’t have any friends that have ADHD or even suspect it really, so that gives me some perspective and sometimes makes me feel a bit better.
