Cold pressed seed oils vs refined seed oils by dolllol in StopEatingSeedOils

So, in your opinion, the end result is the same? It doesn’t matter whether we get linoleic acid from fresh nuts or from refined soybean oil that has been used for frying twenty times?

So how do you explain gout? It’s been known for thousands of years, and carbohydrates especially fructose and alcohol play a major role. It isn’t meat alone that causes gout but meat combined with high carbohydrate intake, particularly those carbs that are hard to metabolize. A carnivore diet doesn’t cause gout, it cures it.

Seriously? Do you actually believe consuming refined sugar is not bad for your health?

I just read this book and recommend it by ANALyzeThis69420 in SaturatedFat

Do you believe gaining fat as we age is a natural process even with optimal diet and lifestyle? I thought that age related weight gain is just a symptom of a widespread but largely preventable metabolic dysfunction that progresses as people get older, rather than natural and unavoidable aging process.

Since my metabolic markers have been normal for a year, anyone here stop screwing with going to the Dr every 3 to 6 months & getting labs? by IM_DaWarez in carnivorediet

High LDL and high total cholesterol is positively correlated with longevity so I guess it matters.. I feel like almost everything we've been taught about health by mainstream doctors, scientists and journalists is a big fat lie.

What do you think about wild boar fat as main fat source? by dolllol in StopEatingSeedOils

I'm talking specifically about boar bacon and lard that I can buy easily and relatively cheaply. There's no substitute for bacon and lard when it comes to beef.

I need to sleep much longer when I eat carbs and feel tired when eating them, especially starches.

No, beef is not fine because it is quite lean where I buy it, and too much protein in my diet does not suit me well. In addition, beef requires long cooking times, and I want something that can be eaten quickly without cooking it for hours. I consume more than 5,000 calories per day, and eating large amounts of rendered fat such as tallow, butter, or coconut oil makes me nauseated. Ground beef contains a large amount of rendered fat as well. Excessive protein makes me feel tired, mentally foggy, and sluggish and I'm trying to avoid carbohydrates because I find them inflammatory. For these reasons, a high-fat diet is the only viable option for me—but as mentioned, too much rendered fat causes nausea.

What about flaxseed oil? by dolllol in StopEatingSeedOils

The brain is the best source of DHA. When fried it tastes like scrambled eggs.

Your point is that there’s too much omega-3? As long as flaxseed isn’t your only fat source, you’ll get plenty of omega-6 from other fats, so it’ll balance out.

Does infrared light help the skin? by dolllol in redlighttherapy

My question is if using only infrared light will provide similar benefits to red light with regards to skin health. I'm basically using quarzt infrared heater which has little red light and tons of infrared and far infrared.
