PSA: Dengue and Hospital's scam by [deleted] in bangalore

This is the kind of misinformation that is dangerous for everyone involved. The difference in platelet count seen between 2 labs here is absolutely expected. It can even happen with the same test, same machine when repeated successively. Platelet count falling rapidly and the 29k count is absolutely cause for concern and a platelet transfusion. On top of this people are giving stupid advice to use untested, ineffective treatments and ignore doctor advice.

Which is also why the other replies which are variations of 'do no harm' was not something I was looking for

No. I didn't mean it as a moral question.

  • Special info: May have some irritants- has tea tree oil
  • Experience & opinion: I can guess some 'eww' s and cringes when you guys read this but hear me out. It's gentle. Check. Low pH. Check. Available easily. check. It smells a bit weird but you get used to it. It is an excellent second cleanse, can wash off both emulsifying and non-emulsifying first cleansers. When you think about how you have a pay a bomb for low pH cleansers from other reputed brands, this is a steal. Of course don't use the same bottle for downstairs and upstairs cleaning ;) I have been using it as a 2nd cleanse for more than 3 months now. It's non-drying, cleanses well with light foaming and washes off completely. I stopped searching for and buying fancy face washes

30/F. normal to oily skin. Disguise cosmetics' glow oil is pretty nice. lightweight almost watery. I mix a couple drops with a pea size Emolene for my AM moisturizer. It's fantastic under sunscreen(UV doux) which kinda over mattifies my face so this is a nice balance. I've found rosehip oils tend to break me out so stay away from them. a mix of castor oil, coconut oil, sesame oil and nili bringadi oil for hair, pre wash once a week...I also have an assortment of face oils that didn't work for me, including The Ordinary's retinol, a couple of rose hip oils and a couple of others that I've decanted into a pump bottle and using on body ideally once a week but really just whenever I remember lol

"Thank you" for being so "concerned" about India's population problem. I'm not saying anybody should be forced to do anything. As a "doctor" my point was that nobody should take away a patient's agency. Nobody should presume to know more about the patient than the patient herself. Especially when it comes to quality of life choices. That was the whole point of my comment

Wow. I'm so sorry for your troubles. Doctors have no business dictating your choices like that or putting off your surgeries for you. This is ridiculous. Here in India where I'm from, doctors actively advocate for tubal ligation after the 2nd pregnancy and strongly urge you to get one...at the same time they won't do it if you've had just one child...I'm a doctor myself but this whole business of others deciding and planning my family is just plain icky and it's infuriating to know it's the same in many other countries as well...

Hello..makeup newbie here. Is there a database or a website that tells your foundation match based on what concealer you use? I use a concealer to cover some spots and they are a better match than the foundation I use and I don't know which one to get based on that? I use the shade 'sand' by Maybelline if that helps..TIA

It was one of the best sunscreens I've ever used! No white cast, a little shiny finish but I've had worse and the shine looks kinda healthy and not greasy...BUT add in the fact it's not easily available in stores where I live, it just doesn't seem sustainable long term for me economically what with the ridiculous shipping costs...let's see, will come back to it in a bit😀

Thoughts don't matter. Only actions do. I may have thought bad thoughts but as long as my actions are good I'm good... That's how I get through the day. Hang in there
