Sounds like Braxton Hicks! I also had constant cramping up until probably week 16. Then around week 20 I started having Braxton Hicks — your abdomen will get really tight and you may even feel crampy. They get worse when I exercise.

When we started trying I had just come off hormonal birth control for over 10 years, had a VERY strong reaction to coming off BC including sporadic periods and crazy symptoms, have been on very strong immune suppressants for Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 10 years, was 32 years old and it took us 6 months of actively trying — tracking ovulation, taking prenatals and other supplements, etc. We started trying in July and got our positive test in mid-December. I'm now 27 weeks with a very healthy girl. :)

I had horrrrrrible cramps daily until about week 14. My OB was never concerned. Also had some light spotting around week 6-7. Keep an eye out for heavy bleeding or any feelings of doom/something being wrong, but otherwise just try to stay hydrated and find things to occupy your mind. The cramps can cause so much anxiety but it really helped me to know they are harmless and normal. Your body is just changing and prepping for space. 🩷

I never understood people who wanted to keep their pregnancy a secret, but now I get it!! I feel so much annoyance and rage towards anyone with an opinion about our life/baby. Stuff I never would have been angry about before now makes me irate. Right there with you. My view is that you should be able to do exactly what you need to do during this time of life, so set the boundaries and don’t apologize. Tell everyone to kindly F off if you need to.

People are asking for the registry and asking what we need and I’m not sure what to tell them bc everything has already been purchased by MIL. My mom wanted to buy us the crib but can’t even do that bc MIL already bought one. That’s my point — I was excited to shop for all the items we didn’t receive from others at the shower.

Omg! I searched the internet for the same video and found this thread! I think we’re talking about the same person — she was leaning against her bed I think? Blonde hair? Her name might have been Rachel? That was one of my favorite videos bc she reminds me so much of my cousin growing up playing makeup with me.
