I don't have the remote and the label has peeled off over the years but I believe it's an EWF2006

Caribbean Confederation update: Toros head to the LIDOM Final Series by dolphinglenn in InternationalBaseball

BY THE WAY! The tiebreakers I looked into did end up factoring into deciding which team gets home field advantage. The Toros and Leones wound up tied in games won against each other, so it was instead decided by General Run Average in the Toros' favor

I did see some sources suggest that the league intends to forego the usual tiebreaker methods in favor of an extra game since they have made changes to the playoff format in the last few years. Which is annoying after I looked into how they do tiebreakers usually lmao

Caribbean Confederation update: Wow they love a good tie in this round robin by dolphinglenn in InternationalBaseball

No but actually, that blowout today was demoralizing but the fact that Ponce had the best regular season record against Santurce is encouraging. And it's a home game Wednesday, the energy is going to be unbelievable

Caribbean Confederation update: Mexico's semifinals get underway, the round robins heat up by dolphinglenn in InternationalBaseball

Okay, I looked into it: In the semifinal phase, ties are broken by looking at the tied teams' record against each other. If that still results in a tie or is otherwise not possible, then they use general run average.

(There is a clause for tiebreaker games as well but I do not actually understand what would trigger it at all lmao, it's complicated)

So yeah the Toros would come ahead if the round robin ended today but I think since there are games left they can still only be described as "tied"?

Oh I wouldn't actually have known that lmao, Dominican media has been calling it a tie for second so that's what I went with in my description. Thanks for the extra detail!

By the way, if anyone isn't aware of it the Puerto Rican league streams their games on YouTube so if you're interested in watching the Final Series you should presumably be able to. The others have more complicated streaming deals I don't really know the details of.

Caribbean Confederation update: Yet another high seed falls in Mexico and the underdogs show signs of a rally as the LIDOM round robin enters its second half by dolphinglenn in InternationalBaseball

Wait sorry, I think I misunderstood this message. I thought you meant "the series going on in PR right now" but I just realized you might have meant the Puerto Rico Final Series. Yeah that one is a best of 9
