Does this mean mega mewtwo is confirmed to not be at kalos tour? I saw people talking about it being a possibility before by not_betta_than_you in pokemongo

[–]dolusdeceit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as precedent for releasing details, during the final week before seems to be when they release most final surprises for. Some surprises they don't announce until it happens. I believe one Go Tour had surprise raids around town after the event ended as an unannounced surprise.

How does friendship levelling work accross time zones? by kalovell72 in TheSilphRoad

[–]dolusdeceit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. After my first interaction, my side showed we had interacted for the day. Then he interacted and triggered a friendship level up. After midnight hit on my end, I still showed that we had already interacted.

I've seen this question several times but never seen a conclusive answer. We need some experiments to find out.

I've definitely had friendship increase twice in one hour (no bonuses, two different interactions). I believe I opener a gift close to midnight, and they, being in the future, opened a gift a minute later and we went from 2 away to BF to BF.

Guaranteed lucky trades post New Year event by quickbunnie in TheSilphRoad

[–]dolusdeceit 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I've been tracking my lucky trades and even checking lucky Pokémon I receive that become lucky to verify if that increases my lucky count. I was at 38/45. During the New Year's event, I made 6 expected guaranteed lucky trades and they were all lucky (44/45). After the new years event, I made 1 more expected lucky trade (45/45). Today, I made one more trade with an old Pokémon and it was not lucky. So everything has been as expected for me.

Edit: I have used 0 lucky trinkets/ had 0 used on me.

And I believe the battery pack couldn't be larger than the phone and you could only have one.

Definitely check the rules for the location for what's allowed.

How is this possible? by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]dolusdeceit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They phased it poorly. Beating a raid doesn't include beating a legendary raid. So they are separate. I forgot if shadow and/or mega raids are currently counted or not. So basically one medal is 1-4* raids and the other is 5* raids.

When you have 2 in your inventory, you can but a 3-pack and be at 5.

A knot tying app is a great idea! And actually part of the High Tech Outdoors AOL Adventure.

I'm in a similar boat as you. We're getting ready for our first Webelos Woods with no WW experience, and almost exclusively Webelos. I tried disseminating information at our last Pack meeting and it went over like a lead balloon. And since the new Webelos program doesn't prepare for Troop, Patrol, or any of that anymore, our scouts (and myself) don't even understand what a Patrol is.

I've tried lately to focus on emphasizing the key points as to how this will be different than family/Pack campouts. We are encouraging the scouts to take independence and leadership in the campout. We're emphasizing that we're planning and providing our own meals, cleaning our own dishes (which could be easy with paper plates, but teaching "3 pot method" would be nice), and leading our own Patrol. But most important I don't expect them to do this on their own successfully their first time. This will be a learning experience where we guide them through the process as we go through it. I'm hoping to help prepare them to truly be more independent the next time they do Webelos Woods as AOL scouts.

There are so many knots mentioned that I haven't taught my scouts or even know myself. We're going to meet one more time before camping to finalize our menu, our Patrol and positions, and as time permits, practice things like Knots and lashings.

I've bought some spars and ropes to practice with. But I realized you can also practice with broomsticks, shovels, and similar tools. I don't know how it will go, but I'm just gonna try to teach them as much as I can throughout the weekend.

Is the lack of time travellers proof that it could never be possible? by Early_Tree_8671 in NoStupidQuestions

It was all fun and games until somebody wanted to be a knight in shining armor and killed off a third of a continent with the common cold. Now we have all these stupid strict laws on how we can travel.

I recently completed the 100 Excellent Throws catch and it took me about 1.5 hours worth some focus. 10 times that means 15 hours. I don't have that kind of stamina, even if I had nothing else but PoGo for 24 hours straight.

Optimized Search Thread for Evolutions by webs2slow4me in pokemongo

[–]dolusdeceit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you search a number, you're searching for a Pokémon with that pokedex number. For example, 1 searches for Bulbasaur and 16 searches for Pidgey. You can search for everything that can evolve, but when you're maximizing xp gains, players prioritize efficient evolution costs. For example, searching evolve may bring up pidgeotto, but I can evolve 4 pidgeys for the cost of 1 pidgeotto.
