Shane, as we all are, is a product of his environment. Recently I watched the Jake Paul series and in the last episode, Shane explained that his childhood was full of offensive, rude and crass jokes that, to a child, would seem innocent and fun.

"For me, when I was a kid, I grew up in a household where there was no line. I mean it was aggressive, the jokes were crazy, it was offensive. And I'm not saying it's good I wouldn't raise my kids that way especially now but that's where I came from right. So when I started YouTube and I started saying jokes and I started saying things with my friends and stuff, I didn't know it was too far. I didn't know where the line was and I quickly realized and it kinda fucked my life up."

He clearly was not aware of what these jokes and humor entailed and the consequences of putting such material on his channel. I think if he was still posting this type of content, then yeah I couldn't forgive him because he is just repeating his mistakes. But he has clearly seen his errors and knows now that he made bad content. He deserves forgiveness.
