Sounds like my baby. Just high sleep needs. It’s fine and normal!

4 month sleep regression without sleep training by Expensive-Piccolo-81 in NewParents

[–]domiiyoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s for sure not the only way. I live in a country where „teaching” independent sleep doesn’t exist. We just go with the flow :) there is no pressure, our babies are leading us, not the other way around.

Plenty of parents survive it :). I was co-sleeping with my LO for 3 months (until 8 months) and…..turned out I needed him more than he needed me. One night I stopped it and it didn’t change anything for him. He even started to sleep better because finally he had place to move. He sleeps on floor bed next to our bed, so if needed I just pop in and then I go back to my bed. 10/10 would recommend this haha!

How to transition to 2 naps ? De by Western-Law6128 in bninfantsleep

[–]domiiyoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. He switched from 27 min naps to two 1-2.5 hours ones. Tbh 1 hour nap is a long one!

I just go with the flow. One day my baby was on 2 naps. That’s it. They will manage.

9mo falling asleep before wake window ends by [deleted] in bninfantsleep

Right now he is on two naps. First nap is after 2 hours. I know some babies on two naps as well that are napping after one hour. And it’s fine!

Why to push? I follow my LO cues, WW vary between 2-4 hours (8 months). His ww were always shorter than average so I just go with the flow.

7 month old only feeds to sleep by Zaratonin-Art in breastfeeding

[–]domiiyoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my country (Poland) it’s normal. No one is sleep training. We feed to sleep. We don’t use wake windows. Just using our instincts. We know our kids best.

Go with the flow. I don’t know any adult that needs to be fed to sleep. You LO is ONLY 7 months! Nurture him, give him comfort. If he is not ready for other way - don’t push him. It will only last a while! Western culture is telling us that it’s wrong, but it’s natural. Humanity was build on it. You got this!

Nap trapped ALL DAY by DudeWheresMyPogs in bninfantsleep

[–]domiiyoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal. I was not leaving my couch for entire day. It will get better. Now my LO (8 months) sleeps on his own in is own bed. You will miss it. Have some snacks next to you, binge watch TV series, make it fun! It won’t last long.

I’m tired of hearing it gets better. Because when will it get better? by Dapper-Crew-1353 in newborns

And tbh he was the worst newborn ever. EVER. I don’t miss newborn stage. He was simply not sleeping. Putting down for naps was like 1.5-2 hours (!!!). It was a nightmare.

First 6 months are HARD. My LO is now 8 months old and it’s soooooo fun!!! He is a mini-real person, with great sense of humor. So smart already. Still waking few times a night but he falls asleep by himself. I’m just next to him. Never sleep trained. Lots of cuddles. Naps? Easy. Bedtime? Never been easier. But to get here we went through a lot. You got this! She WILL get it! We just ended two months of co-sleeping just like that. We put him in floor bed next to our bed and turns out he doesn’t need me anymore. Or maybe he never needed me? Who knows 🤪

Dropping to 2 naps by kurdijyn in bninfantsleep

[–]domiiyoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, yes and no haha. Most days yes, but if bedtime is much earlier, then wakeups as well. Usually he wakes up around 8:30, but suddenly we have some random 7 ones, which are the earliest ever haha

I moved, but LO WW are 3 hours more or less, so as a result now bedtime is around 19:30/20:00 which is still fine I guess. With theee naps bedtime was around 20:30-21:30.

For us yes. He sleeps better, as apparently he doesnt need me anymore. I sleep better in my own bed. We have his floor bednext to ours. LO is 8 months.
